Wabbit Twouble

1941 animated short film directed by Bob Clampett

Wabbit Twouble is a Merrie Melodies cartoon starring Bugs Bunny, produced by Leon Schlesinger Productions and released on December 20, 1941 by Warner Bros. Pictures. This is the first of several Bugs Bunny cartoon titles that refers to Elmer Fudd's speech impediment, making the names of Robert Clampett, Sid Sutherland, and Carl Stalling as well as the roles of Story, Supervision, and Musical Direction intentionally misspelled in the credits to receive the perfect match for Elmer's speech impediment.

Directed by Bob Clampett. (credited as Wobert Cwampett and for Superwision) Produced by Leon Schlesinger (credited as Weon Schwesingah). Story by Dave Monahan. (credited for Stowy)

[Elmer turns to see a park ranger glowering over him; he grins]
Elmer Fudd: Hawo. Heh.
[In jail, Elmer tells us that he got rid of Bugs and the black bear]
Elmer Fudd: Well, anyway, I'm wed of that grizzly bear and screwy wabbit. West and relaxation at last!
Bugs Bunny: [on bottom bunk of Elmer's cell] Eh, pardon me, but how long you in for, Doc? [chomps carrot]
Grizzly Bear: [on top bunk] Yeah, yeah, uh, pardon me, but how long you in for, Doc? [chomps carrot]
