1948 animated short film directed by Chuck Jones

Haredevil Hare is a 1948 Looney Tunes cartoon directed by Chuck Jones. It stars Bugs Bunny and it is the debut for Marvin the Martian — although he is unnamed in this film — along with his Martian dog, K-9. All the voices are done by Mel Blanc.

  • [first lines of the film] No, no! I don't want to go! I'm too young to fly! Stop! I've got a wife and kids - millions of kids! Help! I don't wanna be a hero!
  • What the heck is going on? I'm getting out of here! [tries to escape, but, the rocket is already flying from the earth] Yipe! [springs up and clings on] After all, only a coward would desert his ship!
  • [after being caught by K-9] Gee, kid. I didn't know you cared. [K-9 laughs sheepishly] No, no, don't leave. There's a beautiful Earth out tonight.

Bugs Bunny: [when he meets Marvin for the first time] Ehhhh...
