Greetings

Hello. We know each other from previous interactions, so, this is more of an olive-branch than a first greeting. I gather that I'm more focused on books and historical research whereas you cover movies and TV shows, but given how things turned out with Planes, Trains and Automobiles, I think there is no reason why we can't call a truce and work together cooperatively when our paths cross in the future. I hope that you agree that is possible. I also want to apologize for making repeated, deliberate use of your past username. I had no idea it had created problems for you, and wanting it left behind for that reason makes complete sense to me. I should have just asked you why you were so insistent on only using the new username, so that was my fault. Thank you, lastly, for compromising with me on some of the changes and additions on Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I really wanted to find some good images to use, and that dialogue with the state trooper, and towards the end with Neal and Del, was, I think, some of the best dialogue in the movie. I know you delete anything posted on your Talk page, and that's your call, but I did want to write this. We may not have seen eye-to-eye in the past but if you would like to move forward on a better note, I would, too. We both do a lot of editing on here and we can both contribute and make this site better. --AC9016 (talk) 19:44, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Anonymous vandal

  • This is probably just some weird troll, this weirdo with the IP address. But they're committing a lot of vandalism and this is all completely inappropriate and against site rules. As we both know. So I posted a notice to UDScott specifically so that admin is aware, and I added a comment to your post on the Vandalism In Progress page. --AC9016 (talk) 00:48, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

SuperMyers1028/Christian M 2016

He may have to be brought up for a possible topic ban on all Star Wars articles. --Eaglestorm (talk) 09:06, 11 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

He needs to be banned, period. DawgDeputy (talk) 22:45, 12 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Noted, considering there's a lot of chestthumping on his userpage where he has edited as another user. --Eaglestorm (talk) 01:35, 19 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'm forced to agree. In fact, Christian M 2016's account must be terminated immediately. AdamDeanHall (talk) 20:07, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
I suggest taking your side of the story here. DawgDeputy (talk) 21:56, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Dibbydib seems to be taking up cudgels for him. Blind leading the blind? --Eaglestorm (talk) 06:22, 26 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Seems the idiot is now using "copyvio" as another way to cause disruption. --Eaglestorm (talk) 03:22, 19 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

What case? the one that got already archived a month ago? and it's not an attack, it's a direct reminder. F him, don't try to make this about me. --Eaglestorm (talk) 22:09, 14 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

You called him an "idiot". You should not do that to anyone on Wikiquote or Wikipedia. DawgDeputy (talk) 23:30, 14 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Wikiquote:Administrators' noticeboard

Hi. I'm not an admin on this wiki, so there is no meaning on pinging me to the page Wikiquote:Administrators' noticeboard. -- Tegel (talk) 15:51, 23 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

My apologies. I had no idea. DawgDeputy (talk) 18:04, 23 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your speedy request is declined

Hello, I'm always grateful of your eager monitoring, but regretfully I should say a certain your request makes me hesitate to proceed, like that[1]. Your further discretion will be much more appreciated. Cheers, --Aphaia (talk) 07:11, 6 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Anonymous vandal on The Mummy Returns

Greetings! You may have already seen that someone is repeatedly vandalizing The Mummy Returns page on Wikiquote under a variety of IP addresses. I have been checking back on the page's edit history, and it appears that this person (I am figuring it is the same person since they keep reverting the page to show the same captioned image of Arnold Vosloo with the words "The creature will suck them dry and become whole again) has been doing this for at least 2 years, 2020 to now. The way they keep reverting it also has the page over its LOQ limit, whereas I have tailored the page down to its 11 permitted quotes/dialogue segments. I am keeping a closer eye on the page now that I know someone has made it a target. If you happen to have any spare time, feel free to assist. AC9016 (talk) 22:18, 10 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • I have looked further and found the first instance of an anonymous user adding the captioned image of Arnold Vosloo, with that captioned quote, on 24 November 2016. Thanksgiving Day, six years ago. The first component of the IP address was 91, and 91, 92, and 178 have repeatedly shown up in the page's history where vandalism has occurred. --AC9016 (talk) 22:33, 10 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
