Crisis on Infinite Earths, part one [Supergirl episode 5.09] edit

The Monitor: [as narrator] In the beginning, there was only one... a single black infinitude. Then the infinitude found release, and finally, the darkness broke, filling it with life. With the Multiverse. Every existence multiplied by possibility and spread out before space and time in infinite measure. Civilizations rose and fell, and rose again to cross realities grasping expanse. Life, a precious gift persevering in the face of every obstacle, until finally, the age of heroes was born. Chaos, the constant enemy of life, kept at bay by champions from across the Multiverse. Joining forces to fight on behalf of all creation, they found each other just in time. Because now, the entire Multiverse is about to come under attack. There is a malevolent force at work, one driven by a singular goal.
Alexander Knox (Earth-89): I hope you're watching, big guy.
The Monitor: [as narrator] The destruction of all there is.
The Ray (Earth-1): [on Earth-X] Oh, no!
The Monitor: [as narrator] I have planned. There are those who say I have schemed. But the time for preparation has passed. The Crisis is now upon us all.
Dick Grayson (Earth-66): Holy crimson skies of death!

Harbinger: There's a wave of antimatter sweeping across this universe...destroying everything in its path.
Green Arrow: I've seen the antimatter wave in action. It wiped all of Earth-2 right out of existence.
Harbinger: I've brought you all to Earth-38 because this is where the Monitor wants you to make your stand. This universe is the tipping point. If we don't stop the antimatter wave here, it will continue to the next universe, and the next and the next... until it has obliterated not only every Earth, but everything... across all reality.
Green Arrow: All right. So we are going to need a bigger team. Where's Barry? Where are the Legends?
Harbinger: Doing reconnaissance. I'm headed to check on them now. [vanishes in a flash of light]
Batwoman: I... still don't like her.
Alex Danvers: Well, Brainy's algorithm will help forecast exactly how much time we have until the antimatter wave hits.
Supergirl: Thank you all for being here. I know we can beat this together.

Oliver: The fastest man alive shows up late to the Crisis we've been expecting for years. It's not the best look, Barry.
Barry Allen: Lyla had us doing some recon on the quantum towers. But listen, do you remember the newspaper article I showed you in the time vault? Red skies and a "Crisis"?
Oliver: Yep.
Barry: Ok, well, the Monitor confirmed the papers and in this Crisis, I'm supposed to die.
Oliver: No.
Barry: No?
Oliver: We need to talk. Now!
Barry: Who are you talking to?
Oliver: Hey! Right now!
[Oliver is transported to the Monitor's realm.]
The Monitor: We are past the time for discussion, Oliver.
Oliver: You and I had an agreement. I die, Barry and Kara live!
The Monitor: Yes. To keep the cosmic balance.
Oliver: So, why are you telling Barry that he has to die?
The Monitor: I spared your friends' lives so they could save the world last year. [Oliver sighs.] This is a very different threat.
Oliver: You need to stop playing games with me. You tell me why the Anti-Monitor is doing this. And then tell me how I'm going to prevent it.
The Monitor: Not knowing what you're fighting for means you will prepare for every possibility. Because this threat brings with it the annihilation of all life in all realities. Do you now comprehend the scope of the danger we now face?

The Monitor: Oliver! It's time.
Oliver: Has the planet been evacuated yet?
The Monitor: Not entirely.
Oliver: Then it's not time!
[Oliver shoots an arrow at The Monitor]

[The Monitor arrives on Earth-1 with Oliver, nearly dead]
Barry: Oliver!
The Monitor: He fought to his last breath. Knowing every moment was another life saved.
Kara (Earth-38): Saved?
The Monitor: Your universe is no more. Of 7.53 billion, 3 billion souls made it to Earth-1 on the armada of ships. I calculate 1 billion souls survived due to his noble sacrifice.
[Nash Wells/Pariah teleports into the room.]
Barry: Nash?
Pariah: Once upon a time, not anymore. Now, I'm simply a man serving his penance.
Superman (Earth-38): Penance for what?
Pariah: I freed the Anti-Monitor from his confinement only to become a Pariah. Sentenced to bear witness to his actions.
[Sara, Lois, and Brainy teleport in]
Sara Lance: Oliver!
Oliver: It's ok, Sara. This is my destiny.
Barry: Oliver-
Oliver: Barry? You, my friend, are the very best of us. I gave it all up for you and Kara.
Barry: What-what do you mean?
Oliver: I need the two of you to be the ones to save us. Mia.
Mia Smoak: Dad.
Oliver: Don't forget to find your mother. Ok? Find William. Tell him how much I love him. I love you, Mia. You keep me in your heart, OK? [dies]
The Monitor: It was not supposed to be like this. This is not his ending that I foresaw.
Pariah: Things are turning out differently than expected. But one thing is certain. Everything we know, everything there is, and everything there ever was is doomed.

Crisis on Infinite Earths, part two [Batwoman episode 1.09] edit

The Monitor: You have all lost a great hero.
Barry: The wrong hero.
The Monitor: I do not disagree. You have suffered a horrible loss, but you have every reason not to lose hope. Seven, in fact. Across space and time exist seven heroes, beings of the purest will can ultimately defeat the Anti-Monitor and help save the multiverse. They are known as Paragons.
Barry: Paragons? And you're just dropping this on us now?
The Monitor: I only learned of their existence recently after consulting the Book of Destiny.
Barry: How? We destroyed it last year.
[The Monitor pulls out a holographic copy of the Book of Destiny. Whispers can be heard as Harbinger reacts to it.]
The Monitor: After Oliver's early demise, I went back into the time stream and retrieved it intact. It is now safely stored in this ship's library.
Barry: So it's what, Plan B? That's comforting.

Bruce Wayne (Earth-99): A paragon of courage?!! [laughs] Yeah. Right. I hate to break this to you, but... you're a few years too late. Here. Read this. [hands Kate Kane a newspaper article]
Kate: [looks at the article and becomes confused] Don't get me wrong, but... a reign of terror?!
Bruce: It's like a wise man once said: "Battle not with monsters, unless you become a monster". I've lost track of how many people I've killed over the years.
Kate: The Bruce I knew had a code.
Bruce: You start with a code. You hang on to it with every self-righteous breath. But then you take one life. Then another, and another, and another. You'll see. My Kate... my Kate put on the cape. Thought she'd succeed where I failed! But all she did was get herself killed!
Kate: Well, I'm not her. And I never will be her.
Bruce: And I'm not an old man held together with wire and metal!
Kate: Fine. Be that way. I don't care. You're nothing but a broken ticked off old hermit, waiting to die in this 11-bedroom, 7-bath coffin, but apparently, you're needed. I'm giving you the chance to be a hero again and save not just Gotham, but... the whole damn universe!

Clark Kent (Earth-96): Look, I appreciate your concern, but this isn't my first go round with Luthor. I can handle him.
Clark Kent (Earth-38): That's what you're not hearing. He's... changed the game.
Iris West (Earth-1): [referring to the Book of Destiny] Yeah; the book allows him to do...anything. He made us vanish right in front of the last Clark.
Lois Lane (Earth-38): [stares at a wall covered with plaques] What is this? Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane? Why are all these names on your wall?
Clark Kent (Earth-96): A... reject from Gotham felt that we didn't cover him enough, so he played what he called a practical joke... and gassed the building.
Iris West (Earth-1): All these people died?
Clark Kent (Earth-96): My friends, my wife. I lost everyone in one fell swoop.
Lois Lane (Earth-38): Almost as if you've been through more loss that any mortal man could endure.
Clark Kent (Earth-38): I think we just found our Paragon.
Iris West (Earth-1): We need you to come back with us. I know this sounds insane, but... you might be the key to saving the Multiverse.
Clark Kent (Earth-96): That's actually one of the least insane things I've ever heard.
[With amazing super speed, Clark of Earth-96 vanishes and Superman of Earth-96 appears]
Superman (Earth-96): First, we stay and face Luthor.
[With amazing super speed, Clark of Earth-38 vanishes and Superman of Earth-38 appears]
Superman (Earth-38): And you won't do it alone.
Lois Lane (Earth-38): We won't let him kill you.
Superman (Earth-38): Unless he kills me first.
Lex Luthor (Earth-38): [holding the Book of Destiny in his own hands] Oh, I've moved on from that. You know, I never thought I'd say this, but... I'm sick and tired of killing Supermen. And I have to admit, it's so much more fun making Superman... [referring to Superman of Earth-96] ...kill Superman. [referring to Superman of Earth-38]

Bruce: [referring to the Bat costume] See for yourself. I can barely walk, let alone wear that again.
Kate: Do you understand how many people, how many worlds are going to die?
Bruce: Well, if they're anything like this world, maybe that's for the best.
Kate: How can you even say that?
Bruce: There was no hope for this world.
Supergirl: That's because you killed Superman! [to Kate] This guy's not a paragon of anything. I was right. [shows Kate Clark Kent's broken glasses] We can't trust the Monitor.
Kate: What did you do?
Bruce: Clearly what you couldn't.
Kate: How was he a threat?!
Bruce: Strange visitor from another planet comes to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men? [advances towards Supergirl] Clark. Clark always said yes to anyone with a badge or a flag. He gave them too much power. My parents taught me a very different lesson. Life only makes sense if you force it to. [picks up Supergirl and hurls her to the floor; Kate rushes over to Supergirl's side and they both watch helplessly as Bruce activates a kryptonite device on his right gauntlet] A little souvenir from the old home town. [Supergirl begins to feel the effects of kryptonite slowly making her weak]

Anti-Monitor: Lyla Michaels. Harbinger. I need you.
Harbinger: Who are you?
Anti-Monitor: Universe after universe has fallen before my power. World after world consumed. With every death, I steal my mirror's strength. And mine grows ever stronger. Who am I? I am the Anti-Monitor. Come, Harbinger. There is work to be done.

Crisis on Infinite Earths, part three [The Flash episode 6.09] edit

Cisco: [breaching in with Frost, Iris and Ralph] Someone call for backup?
Ray Palmer: Cisco, thank goodness. I need another genius intellect, stat.
Cisco: That's why I'm here. And that [Superman of Earth-96] is a super doppelganger, which is super weird.
Ralph: Holy All-Star Squadron. Hi, hi, how are ya? Ralph Dibny, Elongated Man. Ready to help kick butt.
Frost: Ignore him. It's his first crossover.

John Diggle: How could you let this happen, Sara?! You, of all people?!
Sara: It's complicated.
John: It's not complicated. I wasn't there when he needed me.
Sara: Dig, we are working on bringing him back the same way that he brought me back, remember?
John: You're talking about a trip to Purgatory.
Sara: Yes.
John: Fine. Count me in.
Sara: And there's something else. Dig, it's Lyla. She's gone missing.
John: What?
Sara: Nobody saw her leave. She was here one minute and gone the next.
John: But she has the ability to teleport, so...
The Monitor: There are now infinite possibilities for Lyla's location.
John: You. Listen to me. I am not losing Oliver and Lyla. So cut the crap and tell me how the hell do I find my wife?!
Sara: You heard him. Where is she?
The Monitor: Harbinger could very well be with my adversary, the Anti-Monitor.

Lucifer Morningstar: Johnny. Heh. Well, I'd like to say it's a pleasure to see you on my Earth outside my club, but it's not. [sees Mia] Hell-o. Don't believe we've met. Lucifer. Morningstar.
Mia: Lucifer Morningstar. As in--
Lucifer: The Devil, yes, exactly. So tell me... what is it you desire? [gazes at Mia]
Mia: [under Lucifer's power] I... I... I desire to get my father back.
Lucifer: Oh. Daddy issues. Why didn't you say so?
John Constantine: Look, I don't know if you have an Oliver Queen on your world, but ours has, uh... shuffled off this mortal coil.
Lucifer: A soul retrieval. Blah blah blah, the worlds are ending. It's all very Biblical, John. Okay. Okay, I'm only doing this 'cause I owe you for Maze.
Constantine: Yeah, you do.
Lucifer: [to Diggle] You remind me of my brother, by the way. Tall, dark. Annoyed by me.
Diggle: You gonna help us or not?
Lucifer: Oh, flirt. The Devil always sees through on a deal. Take this card. [hands Constantine a card with a more traditional picture of the Devil on it] You'll have a limited time once inside Purgatory, and once the picture completely fades--
Constantine: Our souls will be decimated, blah blah blah.
Lucifer: And trapped in Eternity forever, so I don't recommend it. Consider us even, John Constan-tine.
Constantine: [chuckles] "Constan-teen".
Lucifer: Is it? I don't care. Always a pleasure doing business with mortals.

[The Flash of Earth-90 is about to sacrifice himself to destroy the Anti-Monitor's cannon.]
Barry Allen (Earth-90) : [to Barry of Earth-1] Keep riding the lightning, son. I know you'll make us all proud.

Lex Luthor: Oh, I am so happy that worked!
Supergirl: Lex, what did you do?!
Lex Luthor: Well, I held the Book of Destiny and I saw you seven Paragons due to be stranded at the Vanishing Point, and I thought destiny... [pulls out a page from the Book of Destiny with his own signature written on it] ...could use a little rewrite. So... what'll we do now?

Crisis on Infinite Earths, part four [Arrow episode 8.08] edit

Ryan Choi: [in a letter to his Crisis-eliminated wife, Amanda] Narcissist. Sociopath. Evil genius. There are a lot of ways to describe Lex Luthor.
[The machinery Ryan and Luthor are working on sparks and explodes.]
Lex Luthor: Idiot! Why couldn't I be trapped at the edge of Eternity with someone possessing more than 200 I.Q. points?!
Ryan: [continuing] But I find "douchebag" to be the most descriptive.

Ryan: This definitely makes me question again why I'm here. I haven't got special powers. You know, "powers". I'm pretty much the dictionary definition of "unspecial". I definitely don't feel like I'm a Paragon of anything, let alone Humanity. Are you sure you guys got the right guy?
Supergirl: You left your family because someone you never even met told you you were needed. I'd say that makes you pretty special.
Ryan: I don't know about Hope, but you're definitely the Paragon of Pep Talks.
Supergirl: Years of practice.

Barry: Right before you died, you said you'd given up everything for me and Kara. You made some kind of devil's bargain with the Monitor to save us, didn't you?
Oliver: No, it wasn't a devil's bargain, Barry, and I'd make it again in a second.
Barry: It cost you your family, Oliver. It cost you your life.
Oliver: Dying's the easy part. The dead are at peace. The real heroes [voice echoes] are the ones who have to keep going.

Kate: This seems to be a pattern with you. You don't trust people. They don't trust you. Then all of that changes. And the bond between you is stronger than iron.
Speed Force Oliver: No, I'm sorry, what's your point?
Kate: Just... maybe something I can learn from.

[Barry and Sara kneel over a dying Oliver, who has sacrificed himself to recreate the Universe.]
Oliver: You remember what I told you?
Barry: "Dying is the easy part."
Oliver: I'm at peace. And real heroes...?
Barry: They're the ones who have to keep going.
Oliver: So keep going. Don't ever stop. This world, this new world, it needs both of you. [dies]

Crisis on Infinite Earths, part five [Legends of Tomorrow episode 5.00] edit

Sara: What was the last thing that you remember?
Ray: Uh, portaling to this location on your orders.
Sara: You don't remember coming here for trivia night and being teleported to an alternate Waverider to stop the multiverse from being destroyed?
Ray: Wait, was there a crossover? Were we invited? Did we win?

Ava Sharpe: Sara, are you okay? Ray called us to tell us that you were on some special mission.
Nate Heywood: But he's a little fuzzy on the deets, so what's the haps, Cap?
Sara: Yeah, we've been busy saving the multiverse.
Nate: You shanghaied into another crossover, didn't you?
Sara: Hmm, yeah, kinda.
Ava: Whoa, whoa. Did they kidnap you?
Nate: This is a classical crossover move. We tell 'em we're too busy, they commit a felony.

President of the United States: My fellow Americans. Today, our way of life, our world, almost came to an end. An entity, known as the Anti-Monitor, attacked Earth, intent on its destruction. Thankfully, we were saved by Earth's greatest heroes who came together...
John Diggle: [being comforted by his daughter] Sara.
Lyla Michaels: Hey, sweetheart.
Diggle: [to John Diggle, Jr.] Baby, come over here. [to Sara] Your brother wants to play with you.
President: ...such an event. Their unity and strength should be an example for us all. I'm told this assembly was led by Star City's Oliver Queen, otherwise known as the Green Arrow. We give thanks to these brave women and men who, with great tenacity, tireless work and the utmost courage, put their lives on the line for our country... our planet.
Superman: Hey, Lois.
Lois Lane: Clark, I need you to get to Metropolis now. It's the boys.
Superman: The boys?!
Lois: Yeah, honey, your sons.
Superman: I'm on my way.
President: While in a hard-fought battle, loss is expected. It never gets any easier. So it is, with great sadness, that I must inform you that Oliver Queen sacrificed his life for our world's survival. He is known to us as the first of our heroes. And while this is a devastating loss, we can take solace in knowing that he lived, as he died, with honor. I ask all of you to join me in a moment of silence to honor him now.
[The President and all the superheroes mourn the loss of Oliver Queen in a moment of silence]
President: A grateful nation thanks you, Mr. Queen. May you finally find rest in the hereafter. God bless you and God bless the United States of America. Good night.

Oliver Queen: [as narrator] In the end, there was only one... a single black infinitude.

Barry: No, this is not a condemned building. No, listen, this is an old S.T.A.R. Labs research facility that nobody uses. And what's even better, no one knows it exists.
Batwoman: Good for you!
Barry: No, good for us. I figure we could all use this to gather if... anything ever happens again.
Superman: It's a great idea, Barry.
Barry: Thanks, Superman.
J'onn J'onzz: It's a better option than you all dropping by the DEO.
Black Lightning: Why do we even need it? I mean, how often does the world almost come to an end? [chuckles]
[Everyone else either looks off, shrugs or grimaces.]
Black Lightning: [realizing] Oh, it's like that.
Batwoman: Don't worry, I was the new kid last year.
