Invasion!, part one [The Flash episode 3.08] edit

Oliver Queen: Wow. You really did it this time, Barry!
Barry Allen: Seriously?
Oliver: Yeah. Yeah, seriously! You come to Star City. You ask for my help. And then inevitably, immediately, we end up up the creek!
Barry: Yeah, okay, that's fair.

Cisco Ramon: Aliens. Are they "Alien" aliens or little green men?
Barry: Both, sort of.
Lyla Michaels: Since we learned of them, we've been calling them the Dominators. [hands out photos showing the Dominators in silhouette]
Wally West: Okay, that is not the name of a species that comes in peace.
H.R. Wells: No. No, it's very aggressive.
Iris West: So how long have you known about these Dominators?
Lyla: Since the '50s.
Joe West: That was them. Redmond, Oregon. The government tried to cover it up. [catches Barry's look] What? I watch Syfy channel.
Lyla: [plays a video] In 1951, they appeared under the same sort of circumstances. A ship crash-landed, little to no communication. We learned they were abducting humans to gather intel about us. They attacked and hundreds of soldiers lost their lives. Then, for some inexplicable reason, they left. All contact had been lost until three months ago, when the DOD received this: [plays audio recording]
Dominator: [recorded voice] "We pose no threat to human inhabitants. Understanding is our purpose. Any action against us, as shown to us in the past, will prompt swift retaliation."
Lyla: So when we discovered four ships heading towards Earth, we were concerned that it was happening all over again. One of them, obviously, landed here.
Joe: Right, 'cause we ain't got enough crazy going on here in Central City.

Oliver: [miffed that Barry has interrupted his mission] Barry, is there something I can do for you? Another evil speedster to help you with?
Barry: Uh... maybe, actually. That's not why I'm here.
Felicity Smoak: What was so urgent you had to rush to Star City?
Barry: [low voice] Aliens.
Oliver: [low voice] Aliens?
Barry: [low voice] Aliens.
[Thea walks in]
John Diggle: I swear to God, Barry, my life was somewhat normal before I met you.
Barry: [stammers] I'm sorry. Look, they're real and they're already here, and from what Lyla told us, it does not appear for peace.
Felicity: Oh, no.
Diggle: Lyla knows about this?
Barry: Lyla, yeah, she came to... [Diggle leaves the room] ... where're you...? [trails off]
Felicity: [off Oliver's look] I called Thea.
Thea Queen: Yeah, I came to have you sign this before City Council went into mutiny, but that can totally wait. Count me in!
Oliver: For what? I thought you retired.
Thea: Yeah, but it's... it's aliens.
Felicity: Aw, that is so cute. You guys are just gonna get together and go fight some aliens. Have you lost your mind?! They're aliens and there's only four of you.

[All three teams have gathered at a S.T.A.R. Labs facility.]
Felicity: Team Arrow is here. Team Legends is here. That everyone?
H.R.: I think so.
Sara Lance: Nate and Amaya are back watching the Waverider. The newbies.
[Cisco, Kara, and Barry appear out of a breach.]
Kara Danvers: That was cool.
Barry: Guys! Thanks for coming.
Oliver: Barry, I thought you were bringing an alien.
Barry: Yeah, uh... we did. Everybody, this is my friend, Kara Danvers. Or as she's known on her Earth,... Supergirl.
Jefferson "Jax" Jackson: What makes her so super?
Barry: Well,... [gestures to Kara]
[Kara flies up and burns the Superman logo onto the floor with her heat vision.]
Diggle: I'm convinced.
Felicity: Best. Team-up. Ever!

Barry: [in front of a newspaper article from the future] I didn't think about it, Oliver. I didn't think about the future. I was so focused on the past, I didn't think about it until now. I changed so much.
Oliver: What is this?
Barry: This is an article from the future. It's a story of me vanishing. Used to be written by Iris West-Allen, but now I don't know, something's changed with Iris, something's changed with our future. What did I do?
Oliver: Barry, this is a weird-looking newspaper article. It doesn't mean anything. You need to stop beating yourself up over this!
Barry: I'm sorry, but how can you say that? I'm responsible for all this.
Oliver: Maybe, maybe not. Barry, you made a choice. You wanted to see your parents alive again. Do you honestly know anyone that, if they were in your shoes, wouldn't do the same thing? I would do the same thing! After the Gambit went down, it was me, my father, and a crew member on a life raft lost at sea. Enough food and water for one person, maybe. My father took a gun, shot the crew member, told me to survive, and then turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head. He sacrificed himself so I could live. Nothing I could do, no choice. Slade Wilson drove a sword right through my mother's heart in front of my sister and me. I was there, I was helpless on the ground. I was powerless to stop it. No choice. You don't think that I'd give anything to go back to make things different?
Barry: You never told me that.
Oliver: Barry, the world isn't different because you changed the timeline. Change happens. Tragedy happens. People make choices, and those choices affect everyone else. You're not a god, Barry.

Invasion!, part two [Arrow episode 8.05] edit

Curtis Holt: My whole life I've waited to see a sign of intelligent life. Now that I'm seeing it, they're not intelligent at all. They're just mean. I can't believe it.

Barry: Supergirl's not a meta, she's an alien.
Kara: Oh, I'm one of the good ones.
Rene Ramirez: There are no good ones.
Barry: Hey, what's your damage, man?
Rene: My damage is that people like you two have the power of gods, yet you think you can make the world a better place just by putting on a fancy costume.
Kara: No, we think we make the world a better place because of... what we do.
Rene: Look around! The moment he showed up, metas started appearing everywhere. Now you show up, and we get aliens. Superpowers are evil, man, and I don't want anything to do with them. Or with either of you.

Cisco: What about this? I took it off the Dominator ship that crashed in Central City.
Felicity: You what?
Curtis: We're gonna hack alien tech. This is seriously the best day of my entire life!

Rene: Thanks for the save.
Kara: Is that all you have to say?
Rene: I don't do apologies, sweetheart. [Takes off his mask, speaks friendlier] But if superpowers are a thing, it's good there are guys like you to help the world.

[during a shared induced hallucination of an ideal alternate life]
Thea: We finally have a chance to be happy. I mean, why-- why can't you just for a second accept that maybe this is your reward for all the sacrifices you have made?
Oliver: I didn't make those sacrifices for a reward, Thea. I did what I did because I thought it was right... and seeing all this, it has just-- it has shown me that there is still so much more to do. So please, I'm begging you to come with me, because I can't do it alone.

Invasion!, part three [Legends of Tomorrow episode 2.07] edit

Dominator: Much has changed on your planet in the last sixty years. The threat of your kind (metahumans) has become imminent.
Cisco: Listen, E.T., we're not a threat. Metas are protecting this planet.
Nate Heywood: Besides, the guy who tortured your ugly ass back in 1951 was human.
Dominator: But what happens when a man like him inherits abilities like yours? We have seen it happen on countless other worlds. Which is why we must exterminate your kind before the scourge of your planet becomes the scourge of ours.

Barry: This isn't up for debate. It's not even a close call. Turn myself over to the Dominators, they leave the rest of the world alone. Simple.
Felicity: No, it's not simple.
Diggle: Barry, it doesn't matter what you've done. You can't do this.
Barry: It's been a honor to know all of you. To fight alongside of you. Now it's up to you to keep our home safe. [Turns and starts walking off.]
Oliver: Barry! I'm not letting you leave.
Barry: No offense, Oliver, but you and what army?
[Barry turns around, only to face the entire assembled team.]
Kara: This one.
Mick Rory: Listen, Red. I don't like you. But when you got a crew, you gonna take a hit for the rest.
Barry: That was actually pretty inspiring. I mean, up until the point that Mick compared us to a bunch of criminals, but...
Amaya Jiwe: According to the Dominators, we might as well be.
Nate: And maybe they're right. Maybe we do more harm than good, but this is our chance to find out.
Cisco: We're not letting you sacrifice yourself. There's no way. I don't care if that's what it means to be a hero. You're not a hero to me... you're my friend.

Felicity: Good work planting all of Professor Stein's nano-weapons, but we still got Dominators all over the country. This looks like a job for Supergirl.
Barry: [over the radio] Thanks, Felicity. I'm not the least bit insulted.
Felicity: Ah, sorry. I mean Supergirl and Flash. This is totally a job for the both of you. That's what I meant. Supergirl and... Flash.

Kara: Hey, guys. Either of you ever save the world before?
Barry: Mm-hmm.
Oliver: Last year.
Kara: Oh, it never gets old, does it?
Barry: Nope. It sure beats screwing up the world.
Kara: Hey. You are too hard on yourself.
Oliver: That's what people usually tell me.
Kara: And for good reason, I'm sure. But, back on my Earth, it's just me and my cousin. Between the two of us, we're more powerful than --
Barry: -- than everybody in this room combined.
Kara: No, no, that's the point. That's what you've all proven here. Metahuman or not, superpowers or not,... you are Earth's mightiest heroes.

[Oliver and Barry are in a bar, each having a beer.]
Oliver: I'm just saying that... next time, I'm gonna getcha.
Barry: I'm just saying I beat you twice.
Oliver: The first time was a tie.
Barry: And the second time?
Oliver: ... There were no witnesses the second time.
Barry: Super-speed arrow duels. Our lives aren't exactly normal.
Oliver: I told Kara that I was looking to reclaim some "normal". Thinking on it now, I'm... I'm not so sure.
Barry: I know what you mean. We both got a look at what life would look like normal.
Oliver: It would have been happy.
Barry: But not full.
Oliver: No. No, nowhere close.
Barry: To things not being normal. [raises his beer bottle]
Oliver: To life being full. [clinks his own bottle with Barry's]
