Yusername,

Please stop adding copyrighted material. The songs are copyrighted and cannot be added as quotes. This is in violation of wikiquotes terms of service.

Also, transcripting an entire section of a video is not a quote, it is copyright infringement. Please stop doing this.

Songs can be quoted within WIkiquote pages, and though full transcriptions of entire copyrighted songs are not permitted here, fair use permits extensive quotation of songs and other modern works. ~ Kalki·· 13:58, 19 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

You cannot transcribe entire sections from a person's video. That is copyright infringement. You cannot post the lyrics from a song that is copyrighted. That is infringement. Transcribing hundreds and hundreds of words of someone's videos is infringement. For example posting a transcript of her Has Wounds But Heals talk is infringement. Stop infringing on this woman's work.

I point you to this: http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Wikiquote:Limits_on_quotations

You are infringing on this person's copyright. I don't know if you are a sockpuppet for the other person infringing, but you are infringing. You cannot transcribe a person's YouTube video and call it a quote. You can't publish hundreds and hundreds of a person's words and call it a quote. You can't past copyrighted lyrics as a quote. Please stop infringing on this person's copyrighted material. It is wrong.

Fair use Most quotations, because of their short size, are not considered as copyright infringement because they fall under the "fair use" clause of U.S. copyright law. "Fair use" of copyrighted materials is formally determined by a court of law when one party sues another for copyright infringement.

Notice the term "short size". Quotes are a sentence or two, not an entire transcript. Not line after line after line. You are infringing copyright, so stop doing it. And stop violating the Terms of Service.

Guidelines For specific guidance on how much is too much, see Wikiquote:Limits on quotations. Generally, it is suggested that only short quotations and their references be used, even when permissible. It is important, especially when quoting from things such as movies and television series, but also other published works, to make sure that there are not too many quotes from any single copyrighted work. Be especially careful not to take too many quotations from a single television or movie series (which could potentially be held under one large copyright claim as well as per-episode copyright claims). If this simple rule is followed, most Wikiquote use of copyrighted materials should easily fall under the "fair use" clause. For more information on the "fair use" clause, see the Wikipedia article on the subject. If you believe that a given article has too many quotes or excerpts from a copyrighted work on it, please add the text

to its talk page. This will cause it to go into a queue for review and possible revision.

The above spells out the Guidelines. "only short quotations". Also: "It is important, especially when quoting from things such as movies and television series, but also other published works, to make sure that there are not too many quotes from any single copyrighted work. Be especially careful not to take too many quotations from a single television or movie series (which could potentially be held under one large copyright claim as well as per-episode copyright claims)."

Please stop violating the Guidelines.
