Matt Sanchez article
editCan we get some help on the Matt Sanchez article. There's someone, Silvowitz, who keeps putting in unsourced quotes on the page.Bluemarine 22:48, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- The quote in question is sourced to the Alan Colmes show. The subject of the article -- Matt Sanchez -- is trying, for the umpteenth time, to delete it from the page. Matt Sanchez was banned from Wikipedia for similar activity. --Slivowitz 11:29, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'm having considerable problems right now devoting any time to Wikiquote. You both will probably get quicker action by posting to WQ:AN and gaining the attention of the more active admins. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 01:37, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Stop posting everywhere
editTrying to get everyone and their mother to look at your issue is hardly a good way to draw sympathizers to your cause, especially when you're asking people that absolutely cannot help you (such as Cato, who is indefinitely blocked). The one thread on the admin noticeboard is sufficient. EVula // talk // ☯ // 20:18, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with this comment by EVula (talk · contributions), please allow time for comments to proceed at this one central location, instead of multiple cross posting, which comes across as spamming the issue. Cirt (talk) 06:50, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Deletion of Matthew Sanchez article
editThere is a discussion of the Matthew Sanchez article at Wikiquote:Votes for deletion/Matthew Sanchez. Your input in that discussion would be welcome. ~ Ningauble 20:14, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
Your note
editComments such as this [1] are highly inappropriate. I am making a legitimate good faith effort to improve the page. Cirt (talk) 01:39, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Notice
editI warned you on my talk page that if you reverted your article again, you'd be blocked. I'm not sure if you thought I was bluffing, but I wasn't.
You've got serious issues with edit warring on Wikipedia. We won't be nearly so tolerant here. If you continue to edit war after your 24 hour block wears off, it will become indefinite. This is not open to debate. EVula // talk // ☯ // 02:20, 28 July 2009 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed
editHello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Bluemarine. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Bluemarine~enwikiquote that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
