Talk:John Ruysbroeck
I have created this page and added a few quotations along with a picture, however people more skilled than me need to improve this page,
Kind regards
The quote from Carl McColman comes from his blog: https://deification.wordpress.com/2009/10/27/an-enlightened-power-of-reason-and-a-love-common-to-all/
I am happy with it thus far although I hope that someone manages to put a few pictures throughout the page interpersed the quotes, I don't know exactly how it is done - 2.28.30.139
- I have moved the images out of the body text and to the top area of section headings to permit easier editing of both text and captions, and removed a quote which had been unsourced, but which was not Ruysbroeck:
- I must rejoice beyond the bounds of time … though the world may shudder at my joy, and in its coarseness know not what I mean.
- Joris-Karl Huysmans, in Against Nature : A new translation of "A re-bours (1966), p. 15; also quoted in Beyond the Paradox of the Nostalgic Modernist : Temporality in the Works of J. K. Huysmans (2004) by Elisabeth M. Donato
I might do some further work on the page eventually, but have a few other things to attend to for now. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 20:05, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
Great work Kalki! On the body text thing, I think that you might have to put the images back in the text. The reason is that some kind of error creates white spaces otherwise. If you look at the page you will now see massive white spaces. Most annoying.
I just put the images back into the body of the text. The huge white spaces are now gone as I expected, however there are probably too many images now if they are to stay large as they are, because it creates a great white space at the bottom. Perhaps they should be a little smaller?
- You can adjust the size of an image in pixels yourself, by adding "|...px|" after "thumb", e.g., |144px|. Try it :). Oh, and please don't forget to sign your posts! Thanks ~ DanielTom (talk) 23:47, 11 May 2013 (UTC)
