Her Wikipedia article has contained this section on a quote attributed to her -- which has been contested by at least one editor and been the subject of ever-more convoluted phrasings over what she did or did not say, and who may have said it first. I see that. Thank you for your help. We'll see if the Wikipedia editor who was working on this section in the encyclopedia wishes to do so here, where it truly belongs -- esp. as its attribution is somewhat in doubt and the quote entirely tangential to Obomsawin's notability. I just added the statement from the Report of the State Fish and Game Commissioner to the Governor of North Dakota for 1894 where Quote Investigator found use of similar ideas, without quite the same flourishes. The similar and roughly contemporary remarks they found from November 1972 might also be added, though I haven't done that as yet. The article, as it stands, provides a base upon which further notable statements of Obomsawin could be added. ~ ♞☤☮♌Kalki·†·⚓⊙☳☶⚡ 20:25, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

I don't get it.

Where or when did she use it? It is not clear in this wikiquote article. It never explains it. It doesn't even say that she may have said it somewhere or at some point in time, even. - Joaquin89uy (talk) 00:04, 10 September 2022 (UTC)
