editThanks for experimenting with Wikiquote. Your test worked, and has now been reverted or removed. Please use Wikiquote:Sandbox for any other tests you want to do, since testing in articles will normally be reverted quickly. Please see the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our compendium of quotations. For a quick overview of what Wikiquote is, read Wikiquote:Wikiquote, and also What Wikiquote is not for a list of common activities that Wikiquote does not support. In particular, please note Wikiquote:Sourcing and Wikiquote:Quotes of living persons. ~ Ningauble 17:51, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Articles here are not created for individual quotes, even when the original author is being cited; you seem to be intent on either creating or quoting an article about a person (who happened to use a famous quote), which does not fit into proper Wikiquote criteria for pages. The article pages here should be for either an author of quotable material, or a substantial work with many quotable quotes, and are not provided for either creating or posting opinion articles on people, or quoting them quoting others. ~ Kalki 18:32, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
