editThank you for your acknowledgement of my responses at Wikiquote:Village Pump.
I've responded to you, there.
I agree your suggestion sounds most prudent, therefore I've no objections to it,

Question/help request
editHello, You recently voted for the deletion of an article because of its lack of proper citation. Is there a way you could point me to the proper citation formation so I can fix it? I'm really new here and still slightly overwhelmed and having trouble figuring out what expectations are. Or finding where directions for such things are. Thanks. AcrosstheLitVerse (talk) 18:20, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
- @AcrosstheLitVerse: Hi, and welcome to Wikiquote! I assume you're talking about Chanda Hahn. Here's the two things that that article needs improvement with:
- Page numbers. For quotes from books, it's absolutely essential that it be specified where exactly the quote came from in a book. You can also specify the chapter if necessary.
- Full citations to the books themselves. The source material itself is your most important citation. Since the books are used as citations throughout the article, it is best to put them at the end instead of writing the same citation over and over again for each quote. You want to start a new section called "References" and use the {{cite book}} template to list them. Remember to include the publisher, publishing location, year, edition, and ISBN so the book can be easily dentified. (See John Green (author)#References for a good example.)
- If you have any questions, you can just ask. Nick1372 (talk) 20:37, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
--Thank you so much. That was a big help! At least if this article gets deleted, it'll get deleted with proper citations. AcrosstheLitVerse (talk) 02:18, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
- I saw the article; good job! Nick1372 (talk) 02:44, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
