WP:BLP

edit

Thank you for your help on cleaning but please remind w:WP:BLP is not our policy here? And no Wikiquote article is "a biography"? If it were really a biography it were rather a subject to speedy here, since Wikiquote is no encyclopedia at all. Instead we have WQ:QLP and you are welcome to consult it. Thanks. --Aphaia 05:20, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Err, yeah, so I see. Well, the lack of any such policy, or the existence of a weak draft policy, certainly won't do much to protect the Foundation when some wealthy individual decides to sue. In any event, with or without such a policy, material that is unsourced, poorly sourced, or sourced to primary sources, should not be used on Wikiquote, if for no other reason than common sense. It's no wonder people are agitating to disband the project altogether. Jayjg 05:27, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your interest but Jayjg I would like you also to remind WQ is a small project with less than 20K article and ENWP had no WP:BLP or only weak one when it was of 100K article project? If you here claim all the same thing on English Wikipedia, you cannot simply get it. I remember the time ENWP was 500K article project or so, and in some point it was really miserable (they then had no mail contact for example) but then you ENWP guys not to want to disband it. It is too a simple argument and cannot be justified, ignoring all the good attempt to maintain this project. Thanks. --Aphaia 05:37, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Changing username

Jayjg I would like you to remind you ENWP people didn't respond my request for usurping trollish accounts which I submitted twice. And now you enwiki admin guys ask me favor and out of process? I would like you to shame on yourself. You didn't give my what I deserved. Asking me for more is simply shameful and arrogant. Unfair and partial. You ask for what you didn't give. Unfair. Shame on you. It is sort of second rape. I won't forget you didn't pick my request. It is shame on you and Crumsowhatever who ignored my requeset properly submitted to try to manupulate me. Shame on you. --Aphaia 05:51, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea what you're talking about, but it appears that you are engaging in some sort of petty tit-for-tat. You won't rename the Crum375 account on Wikiquote because someone didn't rename some account for you on enwp? How petty can you get? I'm not asking you for a favor, I'm telling you to do the right thing. There's a huge difference. Please, act maturely. Jayjg 05:55, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Right thing? Shame on you. You didn't do right thing to me. Shame on you. First do the right thing at home then back. You arrogant. You double-standard. --Aphaia 05:57, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
What are you talking about? What "right thing" didn't I do for you? Jayjg 05:58, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
I don't talk about this thing. It is a sort of second rape. So offensive. You now hurt me. The right thing here is to submit the request in the proper channel. NOT RAPE ME AGAIN! --Aphaia 06:02, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
I didn't rape you, and I have no idea what you are talking about. Are there other stewards here I can talk to? Jayjg 06:07, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Stop it. You now force me to talk how I was hurted on English Wikipedia. I won't. Please go away and have Crum submit his request properly. The right thing is for me first for you ENWP guys publicly apology me to leave the trollish account for three years and reject my request for usurpation just because he had one good edit. Apology from all ENWP sysops and b'crats who just reject my request saying that was their policy. I esteemed your policy. Now you demand me to bend our policy and do what your policy didn't allow me. Double-standard shameful double-standard. Go to the place you were born now. --Aphaia 06:13, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm not one of "you enwp guys", and I have no control over usurping enwp accounts. You, on the other hand, have control over usurped wikiquote accounts. Now stop having a temper tantrum, and do your job. Jayjg 06:17, 11 September 2008 (UTC

This is my first warning. Please stop your trolling now. You are now trying a bureaucrat to bend the project policy. Please realize it won't happen. Bureaucrats do their jobs when requests come from the proper channel. Thank you and have a good editing according to EN WQ policy. --Aphaia 06:19, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pardon my interruption, but I bet we can sort this out. Aphaia, what renames were refused on en.wikipedia? I'd be glad to look them over again. But this tit-for-tat business is a bit silly, don't you think? Jayjg isn't a bureaucrat on en.wikipedia, and it wasn't his idea to turn down your requests, so I really don't think you should take out your frustration on him. The English Wikipedia isn't a monolith of unpleasantness -- it's a lot of different individuals who deserve to be treated as individuals. Also, let's keep the word 'rape' out of the conversation, if at all possible, since it's likely only to anger everybody and make the whole thing less productive. — Dan | talk 18:26, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Great idea. Jayjg 01:46, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Err, great idea, except for the fact that the offending account in question has, in fact, been renamed already, over a month ago. And the account didn't object to a rename, from the start; apparently the rename was readily agreed to, but not carried out, probably through an oversight or error. Jayjg 02:34, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
You are a liar Jayjg. It was declined twice. Dig your archives and then back. --Aphaia 06:34, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm a liar? Here's where the account was renamed. Here's the new account. And I have no "files" to "review", I wasn't part of any of this. Nor was Crum375, but despite that you're taking your revenge on him. Jayjg 01:59, 14 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
