Ron Paul

edit

About this content, Ron Paul is talking about Fauci statements. "The martial law they dream" and "those who seek to profit – financially or politically – from the ensuing panic" are a response to Fauci statements and recommendations, he was accusing Fauci of bad faith. • The quote is already excessively long. This is not Wikiessays. The shorter, pithier portion that actually mentions Fauci by name is the important part. The rest can be found on the Ron Paul page. There's no reason to replicate this long-windedness at length here. We have standards. BD2412 T 02:00, 8 April 2020 (UTC)}Reply
    • The quote is well under the limits of WQ:LOQ, 171 words. The limit is 250 words. Rupert Loup 02:20, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
      • Our aim is not to run quotes up to their word limit, but to present what is relevant to the subject. The excess portions of the quote are just that, excessive. BD2412 T 03:02, 8 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
        • I already demostrate that is relevant to the subject, since he is talking about Fauci's character and actions. Unless that you demostrate that is not relevant to Fauci I will revert it. Rupert Loup 03:17, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
          • The deleted part it's a description of the character and intentions of "people like Fauci and the other fearmongers". He is assigning specifically those characteristics to Facuci. I don't see how that is not relevant. Rupert Loup 03:37, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
            • It is not specific to the subject of this page. The author switches from addressing Fauci as an individual to addressing a generic they which perhaps happens to include Fauci, but is not the subject of the page. The proposal to include this excess portion does not reflect the discipline of this project. BD2412 T 04:48, 8 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
              • If I am talking about a person and then I say "people like that person are X and do/want X", am I not still talking about that person? I don't agree but I lost interest so I will let other editors decide. Rupert Loup 05:16, 8 April 2020 (UTC)
  • I'm inclined to agree that the second half of the quote is venturing a bit off-topic. GMGtalk 13:33, 8 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

death threats illustration

edit

I just happened to see a picture that would be a nice addition to wikiquote for a quote I added a few days ago:

  • Getting death threats for me and my family..."

Does anyone know how to add this picture to wikiquote? Thanks in advance, Ottawahitech (talk) 02:15, 20 October 2020 (UTC)Reply
