Recognition is public acknowledgement of person's status or merits (achievements, virtues, service, etc.). Recognition is also the act of recognizing or the condition of being recognized. Also means an awareness that something observed has been observed before acceptance as valid or true. It is also adduced to mean honour, favourable note, or attention.
