Good news - page views
editLooks like interest in this Wikiproject is exploding in popularity, Have a look at page view statistics for this project August 2020 to October 2024. I wonder what November will bring? Ottawahitech (talk) 15:46, 5 November 2024 (UTC) updated Ottawahitech (talk) 08:53, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
- This is... weird... Anthere (talk)
- It is probably because of the #shesaid banner that I am now seeing consistently as opposed to previous years when I didn't, if I remember correctly. Ottawahitech (talk) 02:09, 10 November 2024 (UTC)
- We are still getting almost 1,000 views a day, but it appears(?) that interest in the enwq page for the #she-saidcapaign is very gradually diminishing. The banner is still up, at least I can still see it, am sure as soon as it disappears the eyes on this page will go back down to at most double digits/ What do other think? This project is getting spam
editI have noticed that wq:shesaid is getting a fair bit of spam. I am just wondering if anyone else had noticed this too? Ottawahitech (talk) 19:35, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
more appropriate images for some stub categories
editAre there any readers here who can help with finding more appropriate images for some stub categories?
For example I just added a stub template to an American politician, and was surprised to see (actually not really), that adding a politician stub to a page implies that all politicians are American white males, because the tiny image attached is what looks like Lincoln*. What about all the women politician stubs this project has helped create? Will they forever live in the shadow of Lincoln? - I don't know what a recognizable symbol for a generic politician would look like other than being a stick figure, and even than, it's still kind of suggestive because the legs of stick figures suggest someone wearing pants unless there's a little triangle which suggests someone wearing a dress. What about having an image of a podium instead? Most public speaking done at a podium is political it seems. CensoredScribe (talk) 17:33, 24 November 2024 (UTC)
