Samantha Mogwe

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Samantha Mogwe, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but it may not satisfy Wikiquote's criteria for inclusion, for the reasons given in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikiquote is not" and Wikiquote's deletion policy).

You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. DeProding articles with no rationale

Can I please suggest you also add rationale for de-prodding articles. I would suggest in terms of notability concerns that an on the English Wikipedia is probably a best way of establishing notability. I'm really a Wikiquote newbie but I would expect a VfD case is likely if their is no English Wikipedia article. I have created Wikiquote:Votes for deletion/Masi Sithole for an article you have dePRODed. While you had improved the article there appears to be no associated Wikipedia article anywhere as far as I can tell. Good day, i have noted that most articles are being nominated for deletion probably because they do not have Wikipedia articles. In Botswana only a few Women have Wikipedia Articles the Majority don't have. Does this mean we should not quote anyone who does not have a Wikipedia page even though they have quotes from different sources proving their notability. How do we major Notability?? Hi. Sorry for not spotting your reply earlier. A removal of a {{delete}} without a summary will almost inevitably result in a WP:VFD and Special:Diff/3197438 might have been seen as promotional though I fully accept it removed a brand name. But my personal view is that for BLP of people with commercial interest an accepted English Wikipedia is almost mandatory and failing that I would expect at least to see an article on the Setswana Wikipedia. The short answer, and this is my opinion and after considering the thread #Wikiquote talk:SheSaid:Is this campaign encouraged by the establishment? and looking at probably 50 to 100 articles, is that I would strongly recommend not creating a Wikiquote article about the quotes relating to an individual without there being pre-existing article on the English Wikipedia unless you really know what you are doing in terms of understanding notability on the English Wikipedia and have excellent capabilities in VfD discussions. Creating such articles will likely lead to a VFD deletion wasting everyone's time. This is my opinion, and I do not claim to represent the community here in that opinion. Removal of vfd-new template.

I suggest you think VERY carefully about the removal of the {{Vfd-new}} at Special:Diff/3197754 and the likely consequences of removing that template. Removing a {{Vfd-new}} tag or a {{Copyvio}} tag is by a non-admin likely see to be disruptive and they might warn or even block you you. If you wish to challenge of don't understand why you need to put it back or someone puts it back for youa mention at WQ:ANI or WQ:RFC might await, though there are complex rules here for that and I might get boomeranged. Looking at this post VFD nomination I am someone concerned you additions to the lead section of this article may have more obscured and distracted from represented notability rather than helping it.
