Your edits under multiple accounts

Greetings. I noticed that you have been adding quotes today from Wickedictionary under the usernames User:BornInTheUSA, and User:TexasTown: [1], [2], [3]. Can you explain why you have posted under different accounts? BD2412 T 01:34, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

I kept forgetting my password. My bad. Is it a problem? GunLobbyist 13:24, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • Forgetting your password is not a problem, and is a reasonable explanation (that happened to me on my first day at Wikipedia). Thanks for letting me know. The reason I asked is that this pattern of editing is occasionally used by persons trying to appear as multiple people for the purposes of avoiding attention while submitting large numbers of commercial links or otherwise questionable additions. I am not sure that the community would consider Wickedictionary to be a quoteworthy source. I haven't made up my mind how I feel about it either. I'll initiate a disussion on it at the Village Pump. Cheers! BD2412 T 13:59, 6 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
