Can you please revert your revert on my UTP

edit

Hi EPIC,

I know you mean well, but can you please revert your last edit on my UTP? I would like to handle this task myself if necessary.

Thanks for your understanding, Ottawahitech (talk) 16:25, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Okay, sure. I reverted it because it seemed like obvious vandalism, so yes, it was done in good faith. EPIC (talk) 16:32, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm not able to undo because of the last two edits after me on your talk page. EPIC (talk) 16:33, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I tried to Undo your edit myself before I came to your page. I thought that users who are permitted to use the SWViewer [1.6]-tool are allowed to revert edits that simple Users such as myself cannot? Ottawahitech (talk) 16:40, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
SWViewer can be used by those with global rollback or local rollback on any project. May I also ask why you wanted that post on your talk page? I'm asking considering it was obvious vandalism. EPIC (talk) 16:45, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I thought w:wp:rollback meant more capabilities than Undo. Guess I'll have to do some homework on it when I get a chance.
btw I am having trouble posting messages through the reply-tool which keeps auto-correctinG what it thinks my intention is to post, so please forgive it if my replies to not make any sense, Ottawahitech (talk) 16:55, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
It's fine, of course. Rollback and undo aren't very different, rollback is one click and used for obvious vandalism, while undo is used for good faith edits which also lets you give an edit summary when reverting. EPIC (talk) 16:58, 19 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
