Augusto De Luca
User:Augusto De Luca
editI have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article User:Augusto De Luca, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but it may not satisfy Wikiquote's criteria for inclusion, for the reasons given in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikiquote is not" and Wikiquote's deletion policy).
You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Votes for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. removal of Prod on user page
editThat was me.... I removed the prod because
- The user is globally locked, through an action by a steward acting outside of normal global locking process. So the user cannot protest the deletion directly. I have, as yet, no contact with the user.
- The page violates no local or global policy, in my opinion.
- For details, see wikiversity:Wikiversity:Requests for Deletion#User:Augusto_De_Luca where deletion discussion of a similar user page is underway.
- My opinion is that a VfD here would be a waste of time. The page is harmless as-is. It is not impossible that the user will be unlocked.
- It's a very nice photo, see commons:Category:Photographs by Augusto De Luca for 188 photos total.

- Hi Abd, you can give your opinion in the VfD, which is now started to give the whole community the possibility to participate in this matter. -- Mdd (talk) 03:07, 29 March 2014 (UTC)
- Mdd, thanks. My question: Why the VfD? Do you believe the page should be deleted? Is there any policy basis for deletion on Wikiquote? You removed the speedy tag, and discussing this may be a good thing, but ... it can get hot. When we see a speedy deletion tag on a page, on Wikiversity, we don't normally remove it and automatically take the page to RFD. We'd let the one who wants it to be deleted do that. As an administrator, I would delete if the page met speedy deletion standards, or I'd remove it, or if I wasn't sure, I'd just leave it. But if you believe the page should be deleted, then your action was, indeed, doubly admirable. --Abd (talk) 04:47, 29 March 2014 (UTC)

- Mdd used a standard template, designed for mainspace ("article"). Given all the hysteria about "promotion," I don't know at this time how the VfD will go. Augusto, if you ever see this, please contact me. You are permitted by policy to establish a new account. You are not globally banned, stewards don't have the authority to do that except ad-hoc, temporarily. If you establish a new account, you may enable email and then use the email interface to email me. Logged in as the new user, go to my user page and use "email this user" that will appear in the menu (usually on the left). You may also leave messages by anonymous editing, on my en.wikiversity user page: wikiversity:en:User talk:Abd. Warning: disruptive messages there are promptly reported. An attempt to communicate in good faith is not disruptive, and that would be true even if you were actually a spammer.
- Until the smoke clears, the disruption dies down, I do not recommend that you do any editing with a new account other than communication with users like me, who will welcome the contact. Policy is one thing, actual human behavior may be different. --Abd (talk) 13:31, 15 April 2014 (UTC)
