Medical dramas are a subgenre of drama TV shows that focuses on hospitals (usually one specific hospitals) and the doctors, nurses, administrators, patients and staff that work at the hospital. Medical dramas can also focus on ambulance staff and EMTs not necessary connected to a specific hospital. It also includes shows whose primary focus is on disease or that feature a main character suffering from a disease. This includes fictional medicine and the cross cultural equivalents to medical workers in all genres of speculative fiction.
