Universal Code of Conduct Facilitator
editI work for or provide services to the Wikimedia Foundation, and this is the account I use for edits or statements I make in that role. However, the Foundation does not vet all my activity, so edits, statements, or other contributions made by this account may not reflect the views of the Foundation.
My current project involves facilitating discussions about the Universal Code of Conduct. You can share feedback with me here on my talk page, via email, or at a community venue by adding a notification.
Never mind enforcement
editIs the Universal Code of Conduct written in stone? I ask because there is no Edit button and both the the Discussion and Feedback buttons lead to pages with no edit button. Further, there is no information on the page regarding how to comment on or edit the Code. Butwhatdoiknow (talk) 16:30, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- Hello Butwhatdoiknow, there is a refinement process: see m:Universal Code of Conduct/FAQ#Periodic reviews. We are working on having the feedback button go somewhere more useful, but for now you can make comments at . Xeno (WMF) (talk) 23:44, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
- Um ... why not have the Feedback button redirect to m:Talk:Universal Code of Conduct/Policy text? Seems like something that shouldn't be too difficult to do. Butwhatdoiknow (talk) 04:54, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you Butwhatdoiknow: that seems like it would be a quick fix. I will try to get something in place shortly. Xeno (WMF) (talk) 12:30, 19 April 2021 (UTC)

Speaking of easy fixes, here's another one. Butwhatdoiknow (talk) 15:39, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
A third thing to consider fixing before moving on to enforcement (this one is not so easy): a lack of clarity. Butwhatdoiknow (talk) 15:39, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
- Butwhatdoiknow: I appreciate all the comments! We're looking into fixing those links. Between now and 5 May, I'm somewhat laser-focused on identifying more good community ideas from the answers to the m:UCOC2021 key questions. Perhaps approach the questions from the perspective of the future revision of the code? Xeno (WMF) (talk) 19:21, 23 April 2021 (UTC)
