Archive cleanup
editGood solution to a messy situation at Template:Village pump archives. D'oh! Why didn't I think of that?
A note of caution about renaming section headings: bear in mind that it breaks section links. Often it has no impact, but some discussions are linked for a variety of useful purposes. ~ Ningauble 14:44, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
The Matrix
editYou removed my quote. Any quote must have meaning and strong impact on mind of audience. As their is limit on quotes as per guidelines, quote by Trinity Dodge This does not make sense and hence I removed it. While my quote has meaning that in war or fight, if something is done which is completely unexpected by enemy, enemy is not prepared for such attack and is caught unaware resulting in defeat of enemy.
Hope that you are here to maintain quality of wikiquote and not for just reverting edits. It discourage new users to abandon wikiquote as whole.

- I posit that "Dodge this" was particularly significant in terms of external pop-culture / parody significance after the release of the film, and the dialogue you added isn't understandable without the context of the movie. (I know that "Dodge this" isn't really either, but it passes the bar otherwise, because of its exherent significance).
re Bob Ross
editI don't recall if I thanked you for your kind comment about my work on the page Bob Ross, so thanks very much! :) Cirt (talk) 07:26, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
ST: First Contact and Voyage Home
editAlthough they're on your work list, unless otherwise directed, I'm trimming them down myself, as they are my fave Trek films alongside Undiscovered Country. I have enough time to work on trimming. Thanks. --Eaglestorm 04:48, 11 November 2009 (UTC)
You might find this amusing
editI read an entry of yours way back when which very nicely elucidated some points with respect to Wikiquote. I was looking for it to reference it, and had no idea where it was, so I thought I'd do a site-specific Google search (as I knew it had one specific word I could remember: pithy). So I tried: (Search: JeffQ pithy site:en.wikiquote.org). 39 results! I thought I'd had a specific enough word--guess not! After reading through the 39 results I couldn't even tell which one I was looking for as I had read too much! Peace and Passion ("I'm listening....") 00:57, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
- Belated thanks, Peace – I certainly do find this amusing. Every time I write the word "pithy", I cringe a little because I don't like to repeat myself unnecessarily. But pithy is so... pithy. It succinctly expresses the concept of being succinctly significant, which is quite significant at Wikiquote. But I am surprised that Google found only 39 pages in which I'd used it. ☺ ~ Jeff Q (talk) 18:45, 10 December 2009 (UTC)
