Hi, thanks for helping with the setup of Wikiquote, fixing the Mars bug we had last month, and putting in the new logo recently. Could you spare some time to tidy up a couple of things on the site that only a developer can do? Many of these issues have been raised and discussed on the Village pump, Talk:Main_Page and elsewhere.
1) Change language.php file and replace many of the "Wikipedia" references to "Wikiquote". Some have been changed already (like the namespace 4 and 5), but others need adjusting e.g. the title of the page (which is still "Main Page - Wikipedia"); in Cologne Blue the logo is replaced by the large WIKIPEDIA text in the top left; each page still has an "About Wikipedia" link at the bottom; "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" should be "From Wikiquote, the free compendium of quotations" (mav's choice of words, which no-one here has disagreed with). That sort of thing.

I saw on the Village pump your discussion about namespace changing and the $wgSitename global variable. Could you also please change the other things listed above, like the replacement of the text "encyclopedia" and "Wikipedia" which still occurs in a lot of places? Thanks. 2) On August 25th, mav set up http://wikiquote.org/ and http://www.wikiquote.org/ . They worked for a short time, but are no longer working. Also even though you could get to the main page with them, once there any links you followed went back to quote.wikipedia.org, so it was really like window dressing. Is it possible to get these working again, and working deeply rather than just superficially?
- Okay, should work now. --Brion VIBBER 21:11, 26 Sep 2003 (UTC)
Perfect. Thanks. Nanobug 12:10, 29 Sep 2003 (UTC)
