Talk:Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith
This article falls within a proposed limits on quotations policy.
The subject of this article is a film, and as a result, the proposal would set a limitation of five quotes per hour (about one quote every 12 minutes). If you would like to add another quote to the page, you should consider whether to remove one that is already there in order to keep within the bounds of fair use of copyright material. |
This page was split from the Star Wars page. Please see that page for the edit history. —LrdChaos 15:33, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
Edit to quote
edit- [upon being told that he killed Padme] I... I couldn't have. She was alive! I felt it! [He used the Dark side of the Force and destroyed everything around him and things go blowing up and Starfighters go crashing and he removed the clamps that held his arms and then screams so loud that it was heard across the galaxy] NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Im removing the stuff in the [] because its intrusive and incorect. You do not know if his force induced rage causes starfighters to crash and blow up etc.from user:IRCarlos
Younglings
editI have twice reverted ([1] [2]) explanations of the word "younglings" from the article. In my opinion, this use the "-ling" suffix makes a perfectly cromulent word that needs no explanation (else it would not have been used in a film targeted at a youthful audience), and carries more connotation than the purported literal "translation." It certainly does not need a prominent link to wikia at the top of the page, or anywhere else. ~ Ningauble 19:56, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
Trimming
editShouldn't this page be trimmed already? I can't remove the Checkcopyright template if this page is not trimmed.(StarWarsFanBoy 22:04, 28 November 2009 (UTC))
new section
editi just added a new section for this article titled "characters", where individual quotes from each character are displayed. it would be appreciated if anyone with knowlege of Episode III could add new quotes and characters.

- Whether it's any other section, it doesn't matter. Any quotes from them will have to be part of the total LOQ count.--Eaglestorm 00:19, 2 November 2011 (UTC)
Additions to quotes
editAre some of you guys using a different version of the movie or something when you're adding those extra bits into quotes? Because I own this movie, I've watched it numerous times, and I am quite certain those bits I edited out are not in there. I.e. "Plagueis never saw it coming" or "pay the Emperor a visit, I must". - AdamDeanHall does have a problem with his insistence on his version. Even when UDScott's restored one quote, this [NPA term] brings it back to his version. --Eaglestorm (talk) 05:39, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- The lines "The war is over", "The Separatists have been eliminated" and "We stand on the threshold of a new beginning" are mentioned in the novelization, not in the film. AdamDeanHall (talk) 21:28, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- 1) The word "both" isn't said in the film. Adam is correct in his edit.
- 2) The other lines mentioned do appear in the film: "The war is over... The Separatists have been defeated [not "eliminated"]... and the Jedi rebellion has been foiled. We stand on the threshold of a new beginning."
- However, this edit by Adam is still correct, given that the line "We stand on the threshold of a new beginning" is only said after Padmé says "The Chancellor has been elaborating on a plot by the Jedi to overthrow the Senate."
- Apparently, the line "and the Jedi rebellion has been foiled" appears twice in the film, hence this confusion. (But Adam seems to be right.) ~ DanielTom (talk) 22:16, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- See here. The line "and the Jedi rebellion has been foiled" is indeed heard twice, but what I'm noticing is that the rest of the dialogue is also wrong... ~ DanielTom (talk) 22:27, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- I entered the full dialogue per the script here, feel free to revert if I messed up. ~ DanielTom (talk) 22:40, 7 August 2013 (UTC)
- The current version looks pretty good to me; most of the wierd additions I was trying to remove are gone. There are still parts of Palpatine's speech to the Senate that I don't remember, but that's probably just due to the fact that Palpatine becomes largely inaudible during Padme's lines, whereas the script would naturally include what he continues to say in the meantime. Yoda vs. Darth Sidious quote
editSomeone has just added a new quote: the Yoda vs. Darth Sidious quote. Normally a page is only limited for ten quotes, but an eleventh quote?! That is the last thing that we need. AdamDeanHall (talk) 23:25, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
