The John Brunner quote is not misattributed, it was published in "The Shockwave Rider", 1975. However, it is unreasonable to expect that his erudite character who said it, was not thinking of Inge's writing at the time. -- starshine

Brunner was not only thinking of him, in The Shockwave Rider he uses quotation marks and explicitly attributes it with the caption "Dean Inge he say". ~ Ningauble (talk) 12:59, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
