general observation
editAre these kinds of quotes in this kind of profusion really important or necessary? I mean, who's going to care?
Cleanup
editIntro too short, episode titles not italic, no episode numbers. ~ MosheZadka (Talk) 12:50, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
- RayaruB added an intro and reformatted the episode titles. I replaced the episode codes (production numbers?) with the current Wikiquote-standard "[Season.EpNum]" format and sorted the episodes based on these numbers. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 00:19, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
Copyright Clean-up
editAs part of the Wikiquote:Copyright Cleanup Project to avoid violation of copyright laws, this article has been trimmed to its limit of no more than 5 medium-sized quotes per hour long episode. The first episode of the series, which runs two hours with commercials, is allowed a maximum of 10 quotes. If you would like to add another quote to an existing episode which already has 5 quotes, you must first remove one from that episode. Additions for new episodes should follow these guidelines. Wikiquote's copyright guidlines can be found here and current policy here. -Sketchmoose 17:22, 22 January 2009 (UTC)
Appeal to quotation limits
editI make this appeal (per WQ:LOQ) for the article to be exempted from quote guideline limits. The reason being because I believe that Monk as a whole has quite a lot of memorable moments. But every time I add these moments in quotes, someone has to remove them due to the guidelines. I add them back in, they remove them again, and it sort of turns into an edit war.
Hence I request the article be exempted from the quotation limits. The request also becomes because some of these lines are purely classic and very memorable.
This is the largest article on wikiquote by a significant amount.
edithttp://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Special:LongPages This NEEDS trimming - it seriously breaches copyright, and it's far too long.
