British PM Starmer says Iran should not respond to Israeli strikes

I found this Reuters article (October 25 updated October 26, 2024) though a google search, using the above search term. I was initially hoping to find it on BBC because I saw the caption on a video on the BBC website. However my google search did not turn out any links to BBC on top of its results, so I used the Reuters article instead. The quote includes this text: "Israel has the right to defend itself against Iranian aggression".

However, I was still puzzled by my inability to find the article on BBC so I kept searching and to my amazement found this on the BBC website instead: Iran says it has right to defend itself after Israeli strike kills two soldiers.

Just wondering if it is a coincidence that the prime minister of Britain says Israel has the right to defend itself against Iran while the BBC claims Iran says it has right to defend itself after Israeli..
