Talk:Jean-Luc Picard
Merger Tag
editThere has been a merger tag on this article for a while, and the merger discussion link does not even bring you to a page that discusses a merger with this article (it discusses other star trek related articles). I am going to be bold and remove the tag, and if someone want's to start a conversation about it... they can do so and put the tag back up. Teamcoltra 04:49, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

- You know, there are some words I’ve known since I was a schoolboy: “With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably.” Those words were uttered by Judge Aaron Satie, as wisdom and warning. The first time any man’s freedom is trodden on, we’re all damaged. - quoting Aaron Satie in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Drumhead"

Update, improvements to this quote page
edit- Update: In response to the comments by those advocating to "delete" the page at VFD, I have made some significant improvements to the article diff :
- I moved the subsection titled: "improperly formatted and arranged", to the talk page, so it can be cleaned up over time and hopefully moved back to the main quote page.
- I read through the comments at the VFD, and realized the main issue commented upon was that this "character page" lacked quotes about the character.
- I performed research, and found that yes, indeed, it was quite easy to find quotes about the character of noteworthy quotability, in reliable secondary sources.
- I added ten (10) sourced quotes about the character, in a new subsection added to the article.
- I did some minor formatting, making sure that the image in the article had a properly sourced quote.
Thank you for your time, -- Cirt (talk) 16:56, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
