Talk:CovertAction Magazine

Purpose of this page
editWhat is the purpose of this page? The two quotes are sourced from this magazine, but are not about this magazine, which would be the only appropriate reason for the page. In the absence of such, I suggest this page should be deleted. If anything, if this is deemed a reliable source, quotes from it should be placed on other pages for the topics being discussed. ~ UDScott (talk) 20:18, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- The quotes are from the magazine. Perhaps another section ==Quotes about CovertAction Magazine== would be better? 70.57.89.201 20:24, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- Please look at: Mad_(magazine). Perhaps you are new to WQ & using UDScott's username as a cover? The person who usually uses that name knows this well. 70.57.89.201 20:27, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- See also: Punch (magazine), Cosmopolitan (magazine), Swarajya (magazine) Thank you. 70.57.89.201 20:29, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- Quotes about it would help, but the ones from the magazine do not belong here. We do not have pages for the sources of quotes - you will notice that on the page for The New York Times for instance, the quotes are either from the Opinion page (meaning they were written by the editors) or they are about the paper. Any other quotes taken from that source are on pages about the topics contained in the quotes. The point of my comment was to instruct. ~ UDScott (talk) 20:30, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you. Looking for quotes about it now. 70.57.89.201 20:33, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- Was unable to find anything about this magazine, excerpt for in wikipedia & a few publications that have republished their valuable information. Please note the insertion of the Category:Magazines. It sure does seem like this magazine has some very good information from very notable, conscientious people that may be helpful to readers who want to know and understand. It seems like allowing some magazines here, while forbidding others, is a clear case of POV pushing - despite any/all possibly patriotic, but unethical temptations to go along with the crowd? In cases whereas nearly everyone's doing it, doesn't make it right does it? What do you think?70.57.89.201 20:53, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
- I think you are missing my point. These quotes should not be on a page for their source, but rather for their subject - for example, the bottom three quotes should probably be on a page related to Ukraine or about U.S. foreign policy, with citations that reference this magazine. Make sense? ~ UDScott (talk) 21:31, 14 March 2023 (UTC)
