Speedy declined: Chip Berlet is a notable person and this is a properly sourced quote. While that quote alone may make for an unbalanced article, this may be remedied by adding further quotes.--Poetlister 17:24, 9 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

It is this type of mindless application of rules without any consideration of larger issue that is making a mockery of various Wiki projects.--Cberlet 02:22, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
This is hardly a "mindless" application of rules; this seems to be a legitimate quote of one notable person about another. A request of a speedy deletion of it is far more an attempt at exercising a mindless application of rules than the declining of such a request. ~ Kalki 02:25, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
I've commented at the Village Pump - basically, I think the quote itself is not notable and should be deleted for the duration of the discussion of this issue. Cheers! BD2412 T 02:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Using Wikiquote for a vendetta edit

Are there no standards whatsoever on Wikiquote? A page on my real life identity as Chip Berlet was created here for the sole purpose of inserting a nasty quote out of contect into a Wikipedia entry where the quote had already been deleted by admins for violating rules on Biographies of Living Persons. What is even more outlandish, is that my request for deletion was refused. Is there no one here willing to deal with the fact that Wikiquote is being used to violate Wikipedia guidelines on defamation? --Cberlet 02:33, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

I don´t want to answer to your personal attacks. Justin Raimondo is notable person and his quote is also notable. --Dezidor 12:12, 13 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
