Talk:Anthony Burgess
Hello there. I would like to open thus Wikipedia discussion forum. Ok, there are other sites in which to voice one's views about the great Mr Burgess (most notably anthonyburgess.com) but why not spead the load and enjoy textual conversation in here as well.
Opening Question: What are your thoughts about the recently published biography of Burgess by Roger Lewis? [Gareth Stuart Farmer]
- I've not read this work, but I must point out that Wikiquote is not set up to be a discussion forum about anyone. Discussions about the veracity, value, and organization of the quotations that are used is the primary purpose of these talk pages. Links to other interesting sites for further information and discussion, like the one you pointed out, can also be appropriate, here or on the article page. I have just added it and a few others to the External links section there. ~ Achilles 17:45, 2 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Sources for quotations
editBeginning with the section entitled People, we have no sources provided for any of Burgess' quotes. These quotations, unless verified, ought to be placed in an Unsourced section. The preceding quotes from the books would be placed under a section entitled Sourced. Grouping quotes by subject or theme is an attractive idea, but it should only be done if the sources are given as well. - InvisibleSun 16:07, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
