Suhayl ibn Amr
Meccan Quraysh leader (c. 556 – 639)
Suhayl ibn Amr was a prominent man among the Quraish, being known as the khatib or orator of the tribe. Clever and articulate, his opinion carried a heavy weight among his tribe. He was to play a major role in concluding the famous truce of Hudaybiyyah.
