American composer (1928-2024)
Richard Morton Sherman (June 12, 1928 – May 25, 2024) was a songwriter and lyricist who was (along with his late brother, lyricist Robert B. Sherman) responsible for creating the word, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious".
