- Quack quack quack. Quack, Quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack quack. Quack quack quack. Quack. Quack quack quack quack quack quack.
- You can mistrust me less than you can mistrust him. Trust me.
- We have our heading.
- Oi, fish-face! [Davy Jones stares at the jar over his head in confusion] Loose something, eh? Scungeli! It- oh- [Jack Topples over down the deck's stairs, the crew cringes; he holds up the jar] Got it! [stands back up] Come to negotiate, eh, have you, ya slimy git? Look what I got! [sings childishly while the crew all exchange confused looks] I got a jar of di-irt! got a jar of di-irt! And guess what's inside it?
- [Cotton's parrot: Rawk! Walk the plank!] WHAT DID THE BIRD SAY?!
- Where's that monkey? I want to shoot something!
- [Last line, to the Kraken] 'Ello, Beastie.
Davy Jones

- I am the sea.
Lord Cutler Beckett

Dialogue
edit- Marty: [grabs a cloth] It's a key.
- Jack: No! [runs up and takes it] Much more better! It is a drawing of a key. [the crew is confused] Gentlemen, what do keys do?
- Leech: Keys... unlock... things?
- Gibbs: [catching on] And whatever this key unlocks, inside there's something valuable... So, we're setting out to find whatever this key unlocks?
- Jack: [Opens mouth as if Gibbs correctly guessed the mission]... No. [Gibbs is confused] If we don't have the key, we can't open whatever it is we don't have that it unlocks. So what purpose would be served in finding whatever need be unlocked... which we don't have... without first having found the key what unlocks it?
- Gibbs: [understandingly] So, we're going after this key!
- Jack: You're not making any sense at all, mate. [Gibbs is more confused]
- Will Turner: [After being captured by the cannibals on Pelegostos Island] Jack? Jack Sparrow. [Chuckles and smiles] I can honestly say I'm glad to see you.
- [Jack rises from the throne chair and pokes at Will, then goes over to the two cannibal warriors]
- Will Turner: Jack, it's me, Will Turner.
- Jack Sparrow: [asks question in native language]
- Cannibal Warrior: [speaks native language]
- Cannibals: [all repeat]
- Will Turner: Tell them to let me down!
- Jack Sparrow: [speaking native language] ...eensy-weensy. [Jack bends over to expect Will and speaks native language] Eunuchy. Snip-snip.
- Cannibals: [all murmur] Eunuchy.
- Will Turner: [sees the compass attached to Jack] Jack, the compass. That's all I need. Elizabeth is in danger. We were arrested for trying to help you. She faces the gallows!
- Jack Sparrow: [speaking native language] Savvy? [Speaks native language. One of the cannibals repeats what Jack said, and the rest of the cannibals repeat back.]
- Jack Sparrow: Save me.
- Will Turner: [while being taken somewhere else] Jack, what did you tell them? No! What about Elizabeth? JACK!!!
- Will: Jack.
- Jack: Aye?
- Will: Elizabeth is in danger.
- Jack: Have you considered keeping a more watchful eye on her? Maybe just lock her up somewhere.
- Will: She is locked up, in a prison, bound to hang for helping you!
- Jack: There comes a time when one must take responsibility for one's mistakes.
- [Pintel and Ragetti are rowing a boat after escaping from prison with the jailhouse dog that carries the keys; Ragetti reads a Bible upside down]
- Ragetti: Well, I say it was Divine Providence what helped us escape from jail.
- Pintel: And I say it was me being clever. Ain't that right, poochy?
- Ragetti: How do you know it wasn't Divine Providence that inspired you to be clever? Anyways, I ain't stealing no ship.
- Pintel: It ain't stealing, it's salvaging. And since when did you care?
- Ragetti: Since we're not immortal no more. We've got to take care of our immortal souls.
- Pintel: You know you can't read.
- Ragetti: It's the Bible. You get credit for trying.
- Pintel: Pretending to the Bible's a lie! That's a mark against... [points upwards]
- Tia Dalma: You know of Davy Jones, yes? A man of the sea. A great sailor. Until he ran afoul of that which vexes all men.
- Will: What vexes all men?
- Tia Dalma: [seductive] What, indeed?
- Gibbs: The sea?
- Pintel: Sums?
- Ragetti: The dichotomy of good and evil?
- [Gibbs and Pintel stare at Ragetti]
- Jack: A woman.
- Tia Dalma: See, it was a woman. He fell in love...
- Gibbs: No, no, no. I heard it was the sea he fell in love with.
- Tia Dalma: Same story, different versions. And all are true. You see, it was a woman. As harsh, changing and untameable like the sea. Him never stopped loving her.
- Tia Dalma: Davy Jones cannot make port. Cannot step on land but once every ten years. Land is where you are safe, Jack Sparrow, and so you will carry land with you.
- [she hands Jack a jar; he examines its contents]
- Jack: Dirt. This is a jar of dirt.
- Tia Dalma: Yes.
- Jack: Is the jar of dirt going to help?
- Tia Dalma: If you don't want it, give it back.
- Jack: [clutches the jar childishly] No!
- Tia Dalma: Then it helps.
- Davy Jones: [upon seeing Will on the boat] You are neither dead nor dying-ah. What is yer purpose here?
- Will Turner: [fastly] Jack Sparrow sent me to settle his debt.
- Davy Jones: [confused] What is yer purpose here?
- Will Turner: Jack Sparrow....sent me to settle his debt.
- Davy Jones: [chuckles] Did he now? [slight pause] I'm sorely tempted to accept that offer.
- [Jack watches as Jones talks to Will through his spyglass on the safety of the Pearl. Jones suddenly turns his head to Jack's direction, and appears before him as he lowers his spyglass. His crew holds Jack's crew with swords at their necks]
- Jack Sparrow: Oh.
- Davy Jones: Yew have a debt to pay. Ye've been Captain of the Black Pearl fer thirteen years. That was our agreement!
- Jack: Technically, I was only captain for two years, then I was viciously mutinied upon.
- Davy Jones: Then ye were a poor captain, but a captain nonetheless! Have ye not introduced yerself all these years as Captain Jack Sparrow? [his crew laughs]
- Jack: [referring to Will] You have my payment. One soul to serve on your ship. He's already over there.
- Davy Jones: One soul is not equal to another.
- Jack: Aha! So we've established my proposal is sound in principle, now we're just haggling over price. [closes his spyglass]
- Davy Jones: Price? [pops his lips]
- Jack: Just how many souls do you think my soul is worth?
- [Jones considers this, then smirks]
- Davy Jones: One hundred souls, three days.
- Jack: You're a diamond, mate. Send me back the boy, I'll get started right off. [A ghastly crewmate of Jones, Maccus blocks his way]
- Davy Jones: I keep the boy. A good-faith payment. That leaves ye only ninety-nine more to go. [laughs]
- Jack: Have you not met Will Turner? He's noble, heroic, terrific soprano. Worth at least four... maybe three and a half. And did I happen to mention... he's in love? [Jones pauses] With a girl. Due to be married. Betrothed. Dividing him from her and her from him would only be half as cruel as actually allowing them to be joined in holy matrimony, eh?
- [Jones considers this, then hardens his expression]
- Davy Jones: I keep the boy, ninety-nine souls-ah! But I wonder, Sparrow, can ye live with this? Can you condemn an innocent man, a friend, to a lifetime of servitude in yer name- while ye roam free?
- Jack: [thinks for a second, then grins] Yep. I'm good with it! Shall we sign it in blood... or, uh, ink? [Jones grabs Jack's marked hand with his tentacled hand, covering it in slime]
- Davy Jones: [removes Jack's Black Spot] Three days. [he tries to leave, but his tentacled finger latches to Jack's hand. He pulls it away, and disappears alongside his crew]
- Jack: Oh, Mr. Gibbs.
- Gibbs: Aye.
- Jack: Uh, I feel sullied and unusual.
- Gibbs: And how do you intend to harvest these 99 souls in three days?
- Jack: Fortunately, he was mum as to the condition in which these souls need be.
- Gibbs: Ah...Tortuga.
- Jack: [wipes his slimed hand on Gibbs' vest] Tortuga.
- Jack: [with his back to Elizabeth, thinking that she is a man] Come to join my crew, lad? Welcome aboard!
- Elizabeth: I'm here to find the man I love.
- Jack: [startled] I'm deeply flattered, son, but my first and only love is the sea.
- Elizabeth: Meaning William Turner, Captain Sparrow.
- Jack: [turning around] Elizabeth! [to Gibbs] Hide the rum. You know, these clothes do not flatter you at all, it should be a dress or nothing. I happen to have no dress in my cabin.
- Elizabeth: Jack. I know Will came to find you. Where is he?
- Jack: Darling, I am truly unhappy to have to tell you this but, through an unfortunate and entirely unforeseeable series of circumstances that have nothing, whatsoever, to do with me, poor William has been press-ganged into Davy Jones' crew.
- Elizabeth: Davy Jones?
- Norrington: [after vomiting off the dock] Oh, please. The Captain of the Flying Dutchman?
- Jack: You look bloody awful. What are you doing here?
- Norrington: You hired me, remember? I can't help it if your standards are lax.
- Jack: [childishly] You smell funny.
- [upon finding the Dead Man's Chest]
- Norrington: You actually were telling the truth.
- Jack: I do that quite a lot. Yet people are always surprised.
- Will: [suddenly appearing] With good reason!
- Elizabeth: [runs to hug Will] Will! You're all right, thank God! I came to find you. [they kiss]
- Jack: How did you get here?
- Will: Sea turtles, mate. A pair of them strapped to my feet.
- Jack: Not so easy, is it?
- Will: But I do owe you thanks, Jack.
- Jack: You do?
- Will: After you tricked me on that ship to square your debt with Jones...
- Elizabeth: [to Jack] What?
- Jack: [pretends to be confused] What?
- Will: ...I was reunited with my father.
- Jack: Oh... well, you're welcome then.
- Elizabeth: Everything you said to me; every word was a lie.
- Jack: Pretty much. Time and tide, love. [sees Will attempt to unlock the chest] Oy! What're you doing?
- Will: I'm gonna kill Jones.
- Jack: [draws his sword and points it at Will] Can't let you do that, William. 'Cause if Jones is dead, who's to call his terrible beastie off the hunt, eh? Now, if you please. The key.
- Will: [draws Elizabeth's sword and points it at Jack] I keep the promises I make, Jack. I intend to free my father. I hope you're here to see it.
- Norrington: [draws his sword and points it at Will] I can't let you do that, either. So sorry.
- Jack: I knew you'd warm up to me eventually.
- Norrington: [points his sword at Jack] Lord Beckett desires the contents of that chest. I deliver it, and get my life back.
- Jack: Ah. The dark side of ambition.
- Norrington: Oh, I prefer to see it as the promise of redemption.
- Elizabeth: Thank you, Jack.
- Jack: We're not free yet, love.
- Elizabeth: You came back. I always knew you were a good man.
- [Elizabeth passionately kisses Jack, however Will sees the kiss from the longboat]
- Gibbs: [to Will] Prepare to cast off! There's no time to lose! Come on, Will, step to!
- [Elizabeth chains Jack to the main mast]
- Elizabeth: It's after you, not the ship. It's not us. This is the only way, don't you see? I'm not sorry.
- Jack: Pirate.
- Davy Jones: [watches Black Pearl sink] Jack Sparrow, our debt is settled.
- Palifico: The captain goes down with his ship.
- Maccus: Looks like even Jack Sparrow can't best the devil!
- Davy Jones: [turns to Maccus] Open the chest.
- [Maccus stares at him.]
- Davy Jones: Open the chest. I need to see it!
- [His crew bring out the chest. Davy Jones looks inside and sees that it is empty.]
- Davy Jones: [lividly] Damn you, Jack [starts screaming] SPARROW!!!!!!!!!!
- [last lines]
- Tia Dalma: [offers Elizabeth a drink] Against de cold... and de sorrow. [to Will] It's a shame. I know you're t'inking that wid the Pearl, you coulda captured the devil and set free your fadder's soul.
- Will: Doesn't matter now. The Pearl's gone, along with its captain.
- Gibbs: And already the world seems a little less bright. He fooled us all, right to the end. But I guess that honest streak finally won out. To Jack Sparrow.
- Ragetti: Never another like Captain Jack.
- Pintel: He was a gentleman of fortune, he was.
- Elizabeth: He was a good man.
- [They all make a toast to Jack and drink, but Elizabeth can't get herself to drink from guilt.]
- Will: [to Elizabeth] If there was anything we could do to bring him back... Elizabeth-
- Tia Dalma: Would you do it? Hm? Hm? [turns to Elizabeth] What... would you? Hm? [looks around room at others] What would any of you be willing to do? Hm? Would ya sail to da ends of the eart' and beyond... to fetch back Witty Jack and 'im precious Pearl?
- Gibbs: [steps forward] Aye.
- Pintel: Aye.
- Ragetti: Aye.
- Cotton's Parrot: Rawk! Aye.
- Elizabeth: [nods slightly, quietly] Yes.
- Will: [whispers, having waited with his own answer until after Elizabeth's] Aye.
- Tia Dalma: [smiles] All right. But if you go and brave the weird and haunted shores at World's End, then you will need a captain who knows those waters.
- [a pair of boots is seen walking down a staircase]
- Barbossa: So tell me...what's become of my ship?
