Once Upon a Studio

Once Upon a Studio is a 2023 live-action/animated fantasy comedy crossover short produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and written and directed by Dan Abraham and Trent Correy. It debuted on June 11, 2023 at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival and had its first public showing on ABC on October 15, 2023. Once Upon a Studio features Mickey Mouse corralling a gallery of legendary Disney characters for a group photo in honor of The Walt Disney Company's centennial.
Dialogue
edit- Mickey Mouse: [after all the animators leave the studio, Mickey comes to life from the cel with him and Minnie] Psst! Tink. Tinker Bell. You there? [Tinker Bell flies to him] Is that it? They all gone? [Tinker Bell nods] Oh boy! [jumps out of the cel, taking Minnie's hand and pulls her with him into the studio] Come on, Minnie. This is it!
- Minnie Mouse: Let's get the gang! YOO-HOO!
- Tiana: [hears from her cel] There's the signal! [jumps out of her cel and into the studio] All right, y'all! It's picture time!
- [other characters start coming out of their respective cels]
- Pinocchio: That's tonight?
- Tiana: That's now.
- Judy Hopps: 100-year group photo! And the sun's going down. C'mon, let's "hop" to it!
- Nick Wilde: Ooo, a bunny pun. [chuckles] Gotta like that.
- Raya: Coast is clear, Mick.
- Mickey Mouse: Great! Right this way! [Ralph walks into the studio entrance door] Oh! Ralph, you okay?
- Wreck-It Ralph: Never better, Garfield. [trips over a garbage bin]
- Scar: I'm surrounded by [ducks as Mr. Toad rides on the magic carpet] IDIOTS!
- Mr. Toad: Tally-ho! Whee! I'll show you the world! Ha-ha-ha!
- Mickey Mouse: Oh, great. The ladder.
- [Ichabod Crane ducks his head to avoid the ladder being carried by Goofy and runs away]
- Trusty: [while walking with Jock] I don't recollect if I've ever mentioned Old Reliable before. He'd say, uh...
- Flora: Make it pink. [turns the giant Sorcerer Hat on the studio building pink]
- Merryweather: Ohh, make it blue! [turns the giant Sorcerer Hat back to blue]
- Mickey Mouse: Okay, everybody. Get together now. [to Oswald] Oh! After you.
- Emperor Kuzco: No touchy!
- Rafiki: [laughs and hands the camera to Goofy] It is time.
- Goofy: [chuckles as he grabs the camera] Thank you. [starts climbing up the ladder while humming, the ladder rocking precariously]
- Mickey Mouse: Goofy, careful!
- Goofy: [continues climbing until he reaches to the top, the ladder swaying farther and farther back and forth] All right. Now where's that timer button?
- Iago: Oh, oh! Three, two, one...
- Goofy: YAAH-HOO-HOO-HOO-HOOEY!!! [falls off the ladder, breaking the camera as Stitch comes in and starts gnawing on the plate until Lilo drags him away]
- Grumpy: Well, that was fun.
- Eeyore: Maybe we can try again in another hundred years.
- [the camera has been fixed by Fix-it-Felix Jr., and Goofy, with help from the Fairy Godmother, places the camera on the ladder]
- Snow White, Mulan, and Asha: [singing] Like a bolt out of the blue.
- Winnie the Pooh: [singing] Fate steps in... [gets knocked over and landed on by Tigger; chuckles] And sees you through.
- Jiminy: [Standing on Mickey's hand, singing] When you wish upon a star
- All: [singing] Your dreams… come… true!
- [Tinker Bell comes back as everyone singing and holding a note to make a group picture as they continue singing and holding a note]
