  • [to Him's followers] MURDERERS! [to Him] MURDERER! It's time to get the FUCK... [scratches Him's face as his followers gasp] ...out of my house!
  • They've come to see me.
  • My wife loves having company.

  • woman: You give, and you give, and you give. It's just never enough.
  • herald: [to mother] The inspiration! Where have you been hiding? [to revolutionaries] Finish her.

mother: Stop, they're ruining everything!
Him: These are just things. They can be replaced.

woman: Can I ask you a question? [pause] Do you really love your husband?
mother: Yes, of course.
woman: [sarcastically] Are you telling me the truth?

woman: Why don't you want kids?
mother: Excuse me?
woman: [laughs] I saw how you reacted earlier. [sighs] I know what it's like when you're just starting out, and you think you have all the time in the world, and... you know, you're not going to be so young forever. Have kids! Then you'll be creating something together! This is all just... setting. [pause] Oh... You do want them.

Him: I'm his father.
mother: And I'm his mother!

mother: What are you?
Him: Me? I, am I. You? You were home.
mother: Where are you taking me?
Him: The Beginning. [pause] You won't hurt much longer.
mother: What hurts me the most is that I wasn't enough.
Him: It's not your fault. Nothing is ever enough. I couldn't create if it was. And I have to. That's what I do. That's... what I am. Now I must try it all again.
mother: No... just let me go.
Him: I need one last thing.
mother: I have nothing left to give.
Him: Your love. It's still there, isn't it?
mother: Go ahead. Take it.

Him: Stop, stop, don't, don't, don't, please don't. I love you.
mother: You never loved me. You just loved how much I loved you. I GAVE YOU EVERYTHING. You gave it all away.
