Matthew Broderick (born March 21, 1962) is an American film and stage actor who, among other roles, played the title character in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, and Leo Bloom in The Producers and Broadway theatre productions of The Producers. He starred in Glory, a film about the American Civil War, as Colonel Robert Gould Shaw.
