Jessica Meir

Swedish-American marine biologist and astronaut of paternal Israeli-Jewish descent

Jessica Ulrika Meir (born July 1, 1977) is an American astronaut and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, following postdoctoral research in comparative physiology at the University of British Columbia.

There’s no one path to becoming an astronaut. I think that’s one of the great things about the job these days.
