Richard
edit- I can feel it, I can make it to Africa! [flies through the forest] How hard can it be? It's not like crossing an ocean or anything.
- [to Gerold] Hey, why are you so gloomy? We're going to Jamaica!
- Good morning! Ready, willing and able to migrate! Let's get a move on... [notices He is all alone in his egg only on a nest and several unhatched eggs] Ma? Pa? [echoing] Where are you guys??!!
- I’ve always wanted to be a stork. Except that I don’t know who I am. What are we having for breakfast? Worms?
- What are you doing? [Discovers Richard, who has crashed onto a tree branch and is dazed] Oooooh! That’s gonna hurt! The last time when I try to fly like that, I crashed straight into two tree branches, crashed down, two rocks, and hit my beak on something soft and squishy. I hope it wasn’t Bird poop.
- Hey, guys? Hey! Listen, you... [He bumps into a long stretchy wall filled with pigeons that are having lunch] Have.. You... Seen... A... Flock... Of... Birds!? [yells As the line that is holding the patient stretches and the patient all crash down into him like next to the mama] Ouch! Was it something that I stepped on?
- [to the Frog that is trying to catch some flies] Hello? Someone there?! [Olga: Oy! Your barking up the wrong bird] OK. I guess they aren’t like me, either.
Olga
edit- I'm Olga, and this is my best friend, Oleg.
- Eh... You do realize you are not even close to being a stork, right?
- Just keep quiet, can you? What kind of bird is afraid of flying?
- [to Richard] You really love them, don't you? Your storks.
- [during their argument about failing to be a stork]'’ Even if you try it, You’re gonna fail! I don’t want anything happened to you after what happened to my wife, so you’re gonna deal with it!
- Talk about sarcasm.
- Is that a real life eagle?
- Thank you, Richard. I could’ve had done it without you.
Kiki
edit- [first sees Richard and Olga] Aww! Look at you! The predator and its prey. Need to get to Gibraltar?
- My apologies, Kiki La Spree, disco parakeet fantastique! Ambassador to Sparkleville! Distinguished professor of... [Olga: Blabberbeak?] Oh! I couldn't help but overhear your little picking match. But don't despair. I can get you to Gibraltar! I was headed there myself. Isn't that an amazing coincidence?
- [sobs] I wish I had a dramatic backstory like that. I always dreamed of escaping my dreary surroundings to become a famous disco star!
- [thinks the plane is a shooting star] Look, a shooting star! Everybody make a wish.
- I know what to do! [tries to wake Olga up] First aid poster. [tries to wake Olga again but nothing's working] I stared at the thing for years.
Dialogue
edit- [Oleg is carrying a cookie to feed Richard]
- Oleg: Made it! Come on, cookie, let's do this. [He set the cookie down for the bird feed when he hatches] Did I miss it? Did I miss it?
- Olga: Nope. You’re just in time. This is perfect to feed our little hatchling! Just think, a big bird family that will have fun with our new child. And look at that, We hope it doesn’t get scrambled organs! But our little darling would be so darling, that I would kiss it about his head for about 19 times!
- Oleg: Well, I would kiss all of the babies with just one little smooch of my little pa beak!
- [They both cuddle each other as both started to laugh. Richard is overcome with happiness at that memory, but slowly Oleg Tone turns to sadness. The storks gather close to listen, and Richard feels bad for him as he wants to hear more.]
- Richard's Mom: this is perfect. Just soon will have enough babies that will raise them and teach them how to fly! Then we feed them this chocolate chip cookie! And, Oleg, you’re going to become an amazing dad.
- Oleg: Ha ha, he looks just like I did at that age. [Richard (from inside the egg) begins to move] Yeah, that's my boy.
- Richard's Mom: He definitely has your impatience. [the egg is hatching] Looks like he's got your pecking skills too! And all the other eggs are starting to hatch!
- Oleg: [chuckles] Come on. You can do it! Push, Richard. Push!
- [Richard's Mom laugh and gasp in horror]
- Richard's Mom: [last words before her death] Oleg!
- [A weasel growls at them, smacking his lips, hunger, and ready to eat the eggs. Looks over to his wife, who is just about to shield herself and Oleg from the hungry weasel]
- Oleg: Oh!
- [The weasel comes closer to them]
- Oleg: [Worried Lee looking over to his wife, Who quickly swoops over to the already hatching eggs to protect them] No! The weasel is going to eat you! All right, Mr. weasel, you chose the wrong day! Leave me my wife alone, alone, and maybe we can find an unhatched egg and cook it and feed it to you!
- [The weasel then Leaps up and jumps onto the nest. Oleg almost loses balance, but he goes over to the eggs and tries to push them over the nest. Richard’s mom is extremely worried for the safety until she certainly fall from the nest and squawks. Terrified, Oleg is about to swoop down, Until suddenly, the weasel smacks him with his claw, causing him to tumble and hit a branch, knocking him out as the screen immediately cuts to black. That fades to Oleg, who is already sobbing as he remembers his traumatizing past of losing his wife and the already unmatched eggs]
- Richard: I, I never knew that your past would happen to you.
- Oleg: [Wipes away his tears and strokes Richard with a concording wing] I know, I know. When I woke up, I couldn’t find my wife anywhere, and animals were examining me to check if I was all right. They saw me hit the tree branch and quickly rushed me to recovery. But, your mom, and your unmatched, brothers and sisters were not shown.
- [He finds a worm sticky out of a hole, as he tries to check if the coast is clear. He grabs the worm, stretches it out, and eats it. The strokes begin to fight over a worm off screen in the background.]
- Storks: Mine!/You had that worm first!/You eaten a worm earlier today!/Stop stretching it, you’re gonna make it into soup!/Ay yi yi!/It’s not easy just sharing a worm!
- Oleg: Stop it! Now! You’re fighting like cats and dogs!
- Richard: So, when you found me, you raised me as your only son!
- [Oleg Is surprised and chuckles. The storks stretched the worm too hard and causes to fly, and they start to bicker as they try to save the worm. Oleg sighs And goes after them]
- Oleg: Now, that’s enough! [Richard spots a ball of dirt And makes a face, but discovers it’s amazing and begins to play with it]
- Richard: Wow.
- Oleg: I thought I told you all to stop fighting. [eats the worms] Hey! Why would you wants to try and fly all the way to Jamaica)
- Richard: Oh. That's where I'm migrating to with the other storks. I just want to learn what to fly. It’s just impossible. (The dirt rolls over down into a geyser. Richard is overcome with worry, but the geyser erupts with water Dirt, having transformed into mud. Which begins to play with it once again) It’s like when you fall over a cliff, but then your wings get up enough strength. That’s the point.
- Olga: Yeah, I heard him, too. Eh, You never know when something always sparks up, like the thought of falling in a geyser and then something brings you back up again before you meet your fate. [walks to Richard] You know, My wife and I met at Springtime. We didn’t like each other at first, but you couldn’t buy, something sparked up. That was love.
- Storks: Ha! We’re getting more than what Zeus knows of power [mimics like the god]
- [Claudius, Aurora, Max and the storks arrived at Africa]
- Claudius: Storks! Prepare to land! We can rest here until the heat passes.
- [The ducks are at a dry river. Claudius and the storks land on the river bed]
- Stork #1: [off-screen] Ahh, what a lovely death gulley!
- Claudius: But... there was water here last year! I'm never wrong about these things!
- Duck Leader: [off-screen] The riverbed dried up. [on-screen] Humans built another one of their stupid dams. [Claudius groans] I know some other water holes around here. I could show you, if you like.
- Claudius: Thank you, sir, but your assistance is not required.
- Duck Leader: [gasps] Yeah? Fine. [storms off] Storks!
