Can anyone vote on these? --Mister Six 01:35, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

Any registered user is invited to make proposals and indicate rankings to the extent they are inclined, up to 4 from any particular source. I refrain from calling it a formal vote, for there are as yet too few participants to establish any rigid tallying rules, and I have stated there should always be leeway for last minute additions, due to such things as notable deaths or disasters. ~ Kalki 02:27, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

I had only a few minutes earlier, and only a few minutes now, but I wish to add that the quotes should generally be related in some way to the date where they are posted. It is not an absolute rule, but it is one that helps to prevent a random floodings of dates with some person's personal favorites. I also think it better to focus on the dates of birth of people, rather than on their dates of death, and I believe that a gradual build up of good options for each date will occur, not limited to these. ~ Kalki 08:57, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
