Vivienne Westwood

British fashion designer (1941–2022)

Dame Vivienne Westwood, DBE, RDI (8 April 194129 December 2022) was an English fashion designer largely responsible for bringing modern punk and new wave fashions into the mainstream. She was linked with the Sex Pistols via Malcolm McLaren and their SEX boutique on Kings Road, Chelsea in London during the 1970s. She created many items of clothing, one of her best known being an unconformist punk wedding dress with punk rips and chains.
