Valery Gerasimov

Valery Vasilyevich Gerasimov (Russian: Вале́рий Васи́льевич Гера́симов) (born 8 September 1955) is a Russian General of the Army, the current Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, and first Deputy Defence Minister. He was appointed by President Vladimir Putin on 9 November 2012.
