The End's Beginning [1.01]

edit
Renfri: More and more, I find monsters wherever I go.

Geralt of Rivia: A reclusive sorcerer who uses an alias and hires a young girl to procure him a witcher. You don't want my monster. You want me to kill yours.

Geralt of Rivia: Wizards are all the same. You talk nonsense while making wise and meaningful faces.

Stregobor: Have you ever heard of the Curse of the Black Sun? First full eclipse in 1,200 years. It marked the imminent return of Lilit, demon goddess of the night sent to exterminate the human race. According to the wise mage Eltibald, Lilit's path was to be prepared by 60 women wearing gold crowns who'd fill the river valleys with blood.
Geralt of Rivia: Hm. Doesn't rhyme. All good predictions rhyme.

Geralt of Rivia: Evil is evil, Stregobor. Lesser, greater, middling... it's all the same. I'm not judging you. I haven't only done good in my life either. But now, if I have to choose between one evil and another, then I prefer not to choose at all.

Queen Calanthe: If we must do this now, here's your first lesson. As in life, it is impossible always to be fully prepared for battle. Keep your sword close, and keep moving.

Renfri: People call you a monster too.
Geralt of Rivia: A mutant.
Renfri: What if they come after you? Attack you?
Geralt of Rivia: They have.
Renfri: Why not kill them?
Geralt of Rivia: Because then... I am what they say I am.

Queen Calanthe: Lesson number two: know when it's time to stop moving.

Queen Calanthe: In the face of the inevitable, Cirilla, good leaders should always choose mercy. In the future, you will be wise to do the same.

Renfri: The girl in the woods will be with you always. She's your destiny.

Four Marks [1.02]

edit
Jaskier: I love the way you just... sit in the corner and brood.

Jaskier: Come on, you must have some review for me. Three words or less.
Geralt: (after long pause) They don't exist.
Jaskier: What don't exist?
Geralt: The monsters in your song.

Yennefer: You should've let me die. At least I had control over that.
Tissaia de Vries: Oh that's adorable, piglet. You weren't taking control. You were losing it.

Tissaia de Vries: Chaos is the most dangerous thing in this world. It's all around us all the time. Volatile and powerful. But... each one of you showed an aptitude for channeling it. Your conduit moment created a new ripple in chaos, reaching me here in Aretuza.

Tissaia de Vries: Magic is organizing chaos. And while oceans of mystery remain, we have deduced that this requires two things. Balance and control. Without them, chaos will kill you.

Tissaia de Vries: There is no conjuring something from nothing. There is a give and there is a take.

Tissaia de Vries: Sometimes a flower is just a flower. And the best thing it can do for us is to die.

Jaskier: Do you mind if I hop up there? It's just that I'm not wearing the right footwear.
Geralt of Rivia: Don't touch Roach.

Jaskier: Geralt? Geralt? Wh-Where are you going? Geralt, don't leave me. Hello? What are we looking for again?
Geralt of Rivia: Blessed silence.

Geralt of Rivia: Sometimes there's monsters, sometimes there's money. Rarely both. That's the life.

Tissaia de Vries: You take weeks to lift your stone. You can't bend water. You struggle to perform the simplest physical tasks. And now you lie to me? Your worst fear makes such sense. Even if you were a beauty, still no one would love you.

Tissaia de Vries: What you did there was pathetic and dangerous.
Yennefer: Felt pretty powerful to me.
Tissaia de Vries: There are mages like Sabrina who ignore their emotions. And then there are mages like us who are consumed by them.
Yennefer: Like us...

[After Torque charges at Geralt and is thrown onto the ground]

Geralt: You talk.
Torque: Of course I talk!
Geralt: (subduing Torque) What happened with you? Your mother fuck a goat?
Torque: I am Torque the Sylvan, a rare and intelligent creature!
Geralt: You're a dick. With balls.
Torque: Balls I got from humans, who left our food filled with iron meant to poison me! (Rips out a lock of Geralt's hair)
Geralt: Ow!
Torque: Did your mother fuck a snowman?!

Jaskier: This is the part where we escape.
Geralt of Rivia: This is the part where they will kill us.

Geralt of Rivia: Chaos is the same as it's always been. Humans just adapted better.

Filavandrel: You think this is about pride? My elders worked with humans and got robbed of all they had. And when they fought back, they were slaughtered. "The Great Cleansing", humans call it. I call it digging a mass grave for everyone I loved.

Filavandrel: I was once Filavandrel of the Silver Towers. Now I'm Filavandrel of the Edge of the World.

Geralt of Rivia: If you must kill me... I am ready. But the Sylvan's right. Don't call me human.

Geralt of Rivia: That's not how it happened. Where's your newfound respect?
Jaskier: Respect doesn't make history.

Jaskier [singing]: Toss a coin to your Witcher, O Valley of Plenty

Betrayer Moon [1.03]

edit
King Foltest: (after Geralt hands him Renfri's brooch) What is this?
Geralt: For the Princess. If I can lift the curse.
King Foltest: You're giving me this because you do not expect to see morning.
Geralt: This isn't my first time trying to save a princess who others see as a monster.
King Foltest: What happened to that princess?
Geralt: I killed her.

King Foltest: I did try to resist, at first, with Adda. We both did. For all it brightens, love casts long shadows. I envy you. To live and never have to fall in love.

[The striga enters the chamber where Ostrit is bound.]
Ostrit: [whimpering] Please forgive me. It was Foltest. It was his fault. I loved your mother...

[Geralt lassoes the striga with a silver chain. It writhes in pain for a second, then breaks the chain and screeches.]
Geralt: Fuck.

Of Banquets, Bastards, and Burials [1.04]

edit
Calanthe: Perhaps our esteemed guest can entertain us with how he slayed the elves at the edge of the world?
[cheering]
Geralt: There was no slaying. I had my arse kicked by a ragged band of elves. I was about to have my throat cut, when Filavandrel let me go.
Young Nobleman: But the song!
Jaskier: [through clenched teeth] Yeah, the song.
Geralt: At least when Filavandrel's blade kissed my throat I didn't shit myself, which is all I can hope for you good lords. [raises his tankard] At your final breath, a shitless death. [takes a drink; sotto voce] But I doubt it.

Geralt: (After saving Duny who insists that Geralt be rewarded) Fine. I claim the tradition as you have. The Law of Surprise. Give me what you have but do not know.
Calanthe: (horrified) No! What have you done witcher?
Geralt: Fear not your majesty, if I'm seen in your kingdom again it will be to kill a real monster. Not lay claim to a new crop or a new pup. Destiny can go fu- (Interrupted by Pavetta vomiting) Fuck.

Mousesack: I'm going to stay. Guide her.
Geralt: You're a good man, Mousesack.
Mousesack: You should stay too.
Geralt: This has been enough partying for me. I'm getting out of here. Alone.
Mousesack: You're bound to this now Geralt, whether you like it or not.
Geralt: I'm not for changing. You know me better than that.
Mousesack: Yes I do. But you can't outrun destiny just because you're terrified of it. It's coming Geralt. Not believing won't change that.
Geralt: Bullshit, this was just a girl using her magic to stop her mother from gutting her lover. Nothing more.
Mousesack: So you say. But the bond that will be come into being between you and this child, when it is born, will be extraordinary. If you dismiss it, leave without claiming this child surprise, you will surely unleash true calamity upon us all.
Geralt: I'll take that chance.

Bottled Appetites [1.05]

edit
Geralt: (Casting a net into a lake) I'm not fishing. I can't sleep.
Jaskier: Right. Good. Well, that makes sense, so much that it sort of doesn't. What's going on Geralt? Talk to me.
Geralt: (Pauses briefly) A Djinn.
Jaskier: A what?
Geralt: I'm looking for a Djinn.
Jaskier: For a Djinn? Like a Genie? The floaty fellows with the bad tempers and the banned magics that sort of Genie? (Laughing)
Geralt: Yes, it'll grant me wishes. It's in this lake somewhere and I CAN'T FUCKING SLEEP!

Geralt: Did you sing to her when she left you?
Jaskier: I did, actually, and she... why? What are you implying? (Geralt stares back) Oh, we are so having this conversation. Come on, Geralt. Tell me. Be honest. How's my singing?
Geralt: It's like ordering a pie and finding it has no filling.
Jaskier: (visibly taken aback) You... need a nap!

Yennefer of Vengerberg: I've never been shy a day in my life.

Geralt of Rivia: That's cheating.
Yennefer of Vengerberg: Nobody smart plays fair.

Jaskier: Are you perhaps short of a marble?!

Jaskier: (looks in the window and sees Geralt and Yennefer making love) They're alive! (pause) They're really alive.

Rare Species [1.06]

edit

[Geralt emerges out of cave, while Borch and his guards stop an attempted burglary of his belongings]

Geralt: (To thieving villager) I believe those are mine. (Catches coin purse from villager who then flees)
Jaskier: Geralt, they- with the- This woman just killed a man with her bare hands for trying to steal your horse.
Geralt: Maybe she'll make a better travel companion then.

Borch: Those Dwarves will be partnered on.
Dwarf Companion: Bar man!
Jaskier: Geralt can handle them in his sleep.
Yarpen: Fucking right! (running up and jumping on the counter) HE SAID HE WANTS 4 FUCKING PINTS! Now!
Jaskier: Or, maybe a little bit awake.

Yarpen: (Extends hand to shake Geralt's hand) Name's Yarpen Zigrin.
Geralt: (Shakes Yarpen's hand) Geralt of Rivia.
Jaskier: And my name is Julian Alfred Pankr-
Yarpen: Aye! I know. (To Geralt) You'll fetch a goodly amount for that mare if you sell now!
Jaskier: Charming how everyone wants go get their hands on roach these days, isn't it?
Geralt: He means we won't make it out alive.
Jaskier: Wait, what? No one mentioned anything about impending death!

Yennifer: How is it that I've walked this earth for decades without coming across a witcher, and then the first one I meet, I can't get rid of?
Jaskier: I'd say something strange was afoot, but then again, Witchers are bound to bump into monsters eventually.
Yennifer: (laughing) Jaskier.
Jaskier: Yennifer.
Yennifer: The crow's feet are new.
Jaskier: Yeah, well, your jokes are... old.

Geralt: Yennifer... do not tell me you've traveled all this way for made-up fertility cures using fresh dragon hearts?
Yennifer: They are not made up.
Geralt: They are. And seriously, you? A mother?
Yennifer: Do you think I'd make a bad one?
Geralt: Definitely. Yen, a child? What could you possibly want with a child?
Yennifer: They took my choice, I want it back. Not that I'd expect you to understand.
Geralt: I didn't choose to become a Witcher. (sighing) Listen, the people who made us, they made us sterile for a lot of reasons. One of the kinder ones is because this lifestyle isn't suited to a child. What? You were going to summon chaos on kings' orders in between feeding and naps?
Yennifer: Do not patronize me!
Geralt: I'm not, I've thought about this. Often. And I'd rather use my Child Surprise as Bruxa bait than subject it to this life!
Yennifer: What did you just say?
Geralt: Uh... Ah, fuck!
Yennifer: You have a Child Surprise? Isn't that rich? You lecture me on made-up cures for having a child, meanwhile you cheat with destiny to steal one.

[Geralt and Yennifer defeated the Reavers, whose bodies are littered all over the cave entrance; Yarpen and his posse arrive and confront Tea and Vea]

Yarpen: (Throwing sword on the ground) Well that's fuckin' shite! We missed a whole mother lode of fun!
Borch: Ask no questions and in return, I offer you these to take to the king (showing 2 teeth from a dragon)
Yarpen: Dragon teeth? I've never been one to look a gift cock in the beak, though this might not be enough proof to collect the reward.
Borch: Tell the king if he's not satisfied, he can expect the body of a dragon dropped upon his royal wedding. Free of charge.

Before a Fall [1.07]

edit
Queen Calanthe: And if I win the war but lose Ciri, what victory is that?

Geralt of Rivia: Maybe that army won't come, and if they do, maybe you'll be ready. But if you have any doubt in your mind that she's safe here, give her to me. Call it destiny, security, what larger forces at work, I don't care. I will take her, protect her, and bring her back unharmed, I promise you that.

Geralt: First you try to kill me. Then you lie to me. I'm just trying to keep Cirilla safe.
Queen Calanthe: Ciri is safe, with me, until the day she takes over my throne.
Geralt: Listen to me.
Queen Calanthe: I did listen once. Let a hedgehog into my court, it got me Pavetta dead. I won't lose Ciri too. So you and destiny can both fuck right off. Because if Nilfgaard comes, will destiny carry a banner into battle? No, we have an army, a navy, and me.
Geralt: A dynasty can't survive on arrogance alone.
Queen Calanthe: Says a Witcher. She needs family, you know nothing about that. Your mother cared so little, she discarded you.
Geralt: And you lecture me on a mother's love, yet offer up someone else's daughter.
Queen Calanthe: Queen to all of Cintra, grandmother to one. I won't orphan that girl.

Geralt: What changed?
Eist: I have a granddaughter.
Geralt: So protect her. What if Calanthe is wrong? What if they come and Ciri is trapped?
Eist: I fight side by side with my Queen.
Geralt: You put too much faith in that woman.
Eist: Well, you weren't there. After Pavetta died, Calanthe would wake up howling in the night. The Lioness, nearly broken. Someone who's able to pull themselves out of that, they'll have my confidence till my final day.

Much More [1.08]

edit
Tissaia: We will fortify the keep until they arrive. That's the strategy.
Yennefer: A military strategy. We're mages, damn powerful ones.
Triss: Does Nilfgaard really believe they can take the whole continent?
Yennefer: They've been collecting soldiers, occupying territories, letting loose their beliefs like an epidemic. Istredd was telling me.
Sabrina: You saw Is?
Yennefer: I saw it first hand in Nazair. Nilfgaard take people down to their worst, then give them something to cling to. Even if it's shitty ale.
Tissaia: That's why we're here. Because sometimes it's not shitty ale. Sometimes it's a bed in a pigpen. You have to make a choice to fight back.

[Tissaia and Yennefer are drinking before the Battle of Sodden commences]

Tissaia: The ale won't disappoint. We should enjoy it while we can.
Yennefer: It's the first thing Nilfgaard will destroy.
Tissaia: Must you always be so fatalistic?
Yennefer: It's only appropriate, seeing as we might die.
Tissaia: All the more reason to live tonight.
Yennefer: Mmm, like you.
Tissaia: So, are you ready? To die?
Yennefer: Yes, I've lived two or three lifetimes already.
Tissaia: But you haven't been satisfied in any of them.
Yennefer: I've tried. But I've no legacy to leave behind. No family. It's time to accept that life has no more to give.
Tissaia: (Pauses before walking away) You still have so much left to give.

Geralt: Ma? Come closer. I want you to look at me. How do you like my eyes? Do you know Visenna, what they do to a Witcher to improve his eyes?
Visenna: Stop it.
Geralt: Do you know that it doesn't always work?
Visenna: Stop it, Geralt.
Geralt: You don't get to use that name. Vesemir gave me that name. (Pauses) I need to know why.
Visenna: No answer will give you what you want.
Geralt: Three out of ten boys survive the trial. Tell me, at least, you didn't know this before you left me on his doorstep?
Visenna: It's time to sleep. There's Valerian in the medicine.
Geralt: You trusted destiny, rather than trying to find me yourself.
Visenna: Don't ask any more questions.
Geralt: Why?
Visenna: The answers will only hurt us both. It's time to move on Geralt. It's time for you to find what you let go of.

Yennefer: You're alive.
Tissaia: (Weakly) Yennefer...
Yennefer: Sabrina needs your help. We all do. (Tissaia falls to the ground) No, no! The Northern Kingdoms are close. We can't give up. You... you saved me. I won't ever forget that.
Tissaia: It's your turn... to save these people, this Continent. This is your legacy.
Yennefer How? I can't!
Tissaia: You can! Everything you have ever felt, everything you've buried... Forget the bottle. Let your chaos explode.

Geralt of Rivia: People linked by destiny will always find each other.

Season 2

edit

A Grain of Truth [2.01]

edit
Geralt: You going to tell me what happened to you?
Nivellen: That's a tale requiring wine. What of you?
Geralt: That's a tale requiring a wine cellar.

Ciri: Those people you killed, you didn't mean to.
Nivellen: Sometimes, I think I'm still just a man. But mostly, I know what I really am.
Ciri: I watched my entire home burn to the ground at the hands of another. My family trapped inside. You don't seem like a monster to me.
Nivellen: I appreciate that, my dear. Monsters are more than just horrid looks and claws and teeth. Monsters are born of deeds done. Unforgivable ones.

Geralt: Fear is an illness. If you catch it and leave it untreated, it can consume you.
Ciri: How do you treat it?
Geralt: You face it. Facing your fear is not easy. But I am here for you. I won't let anything happen to you.

Ciri: Are you a monster?
Vereena: Are you a monster because you are different?
Ciri: Monsters do bad things to people.
Vereena: Humans do bad things to everybody.

Kaer Morhen [2.02]

edit
Francesca: (In Elder) You should have hung their corpses nearby.
Filavandrel: (In Elder) They can be of use, these are human forests.
Francesca: (In Elder) They're our forests. This one was in dimeritium?
Filavandrel: This one was a captive of Nilfgaard. I'm also an elf. (In Elder) Is this how you treat your own?
Francesca: Do you sing our songs? Do you honor our elders? Have you ever shed a tear over anything elven? You are no elf.

Filavandrel: My people turned to Francesca after I failed to beat Calanthe, they needed faith.
Yennefer: Faith's a simple medicine for desperate souls.
Fringilla: Faith sustains us all in dark times.

Lambert: So there I am, freezing my bollocks off in the middle of a grain field for the second straight night, when the farmer's wife comes sneaking out to tell me that I'm wasting my time. It wasn't a mora her husband saw leaving that room, no. It was the fucking field hand! (Entire room laughs) Oh and now she's wailing, "Oh, what are we gonna do? My husband won't pay you if you don't deliver a mora head!" (Laughing) So I pulled out my sword and I said, "Bet he'll pay double for the field hand's". (Entire room laughs)
Coen: Good ol' Lambchop!
Lambert: She returned with two horses and a fur rug, best job I had in all year.

Geralt: Training is dangerous.
Ciri: So is the man with the black winged helmet.
Geralt: (Pauses) And you want to kill him?
Ciri: Yes.
Geralt: Why?
Ciri: I hate him.
Geralt: This is important. We don't kill out of fear. We kill to save lives. Do you understand?

Geralt: When I first came to Kaer Morhen, Vesemir said to me that the world outside these walls is a dangerous place. But times are changing, even here. Nowhere's safe now, you can't run from the world, you can't hide from it. But you can find power and purpose. A chance to survive the horror. This continent was meant for no one. All you have to do Ciri, is keep your sword close and keep moving.

Redanian Intelligence [2.04]

edit
Yennefer: Bard.
Jaskier: Witch. What are you doing here? And what fresh hell did you just crawl out of?
Yennefer: A sewer. What's your excuse?
Jaskier: Oh a sewer, I always knew you were a bloodsucking, joyless- (Yennifer hugs him) Hugger? Hugging, we are hugging.
Yennefer: I miss the days when my biggest problem was an ever-present, sing-songy twit.

Yennefer: You're the Sandpiper.
Jaskier: What? No. Yes. No. How do you know that name?
Yennefer: You pick up a thing or two when you're in hiding.
Jaskier: You're in hiding? Because you're part elf... Yennefer, I completely forgot. I'm so sorry. I would not wish that fate on my worst enemy, and yes, you are firmly lodged in that category, it has to be said, but what they've done to you and your people is unspeakable. But some people are speaking. There are anonymous benefactors behind the scenes, helping me, helping us, helping us to make this right.
Yennefer: Why help? What's in it for you?
Jaskier: I was at the great oak Bleobheris when it was raided. The Seat of Friendship, the druids called it. Where every free thinker was welcome, no matter their race, their creed... they'll come for the elves, Yennefer, they'll come for the Dwarves. And sooner or later, they will come for everyone. Anyone that they deem the "other", so eventually, no artist is safe.

Yennefer: (After Cahir walks in) He's with me, it's okay. I need to get to Cintra. The both of us.
Jaskier: Well, I'll do what I can. But know this. You, you both... smell truly awful. I mean, it is like something has crawled up your arses and died. So... we leave Oxenfurt at nightfall. Plenty of time to take a bath before then. Just sayin'.

Yennefer: What? (Jaskier gives a look) What?
Jaskier: What happened to you?
Yennefer: You'll have to be more specific, I've lived a long life. (Jaskier raises eyebrows and looks again) (sighing) Chaos appears to be done with me.
Jaskier: You've lost your magic? Is that even possible?
Yennefer: Go on, get your gloating in. Time's limited.
Jaskier: (laughing) You know, once upon a time, I would have used this opportunity to call you an empty, lonely, power hungry she-demon. But... I'm an artist, Yennifer. It's my job to put myself in other peoples' shoes. Even if they are, in your case, large, clunky, and I don't know, probably full of snakes or something. I'm scared too. I'm scared that one day, the muses will stop speaking to me. Because who are we? When we can no longer do the one thing we were put on this Continent to do?
Yennefer: We find a new purpose. A better one. Hopefully.

Turn Your Back [2.05]

edit

[Jaskier is bound to a chair and is bleeding; Rience is about to torture him]

Rience: (Snaps finger and his finger is alight) See, fire is a forbidden source because it usually consumes those who draw from it. Unless you're very talented, then the body can withstand it. But it consumes the soul (Laughing)
Jaskier: Please, I don't know anything!
Rience: No, no, no, no, the songs in your catalog would suggest otherwise.
Jaskier: (Screaming) Listen to me, please! Please listen to me. I- I am a bard, I am brilliant. This is what I do, he grunts and I tell stories, he mentions a Witcher keep and I turn it into a magical, mystical hideaway in the mountains. So please listen when I tell you this. He doesn't share any details. He does not have friends. And he does not have weaknesses!

[Jaskier and Yennefer escape from Rience after Yennefer maims him]

Jaskier: Who the fuck was that?
Yennefer: How should I know? You're the one he kidnapped.
Jaskier: Oh what, you mages don't all share an alma mater? You didn't catch him at the last alumni event?
Yennefer: You know, I was looking forward to at least a few more thank yous and perhaps some genuflection.
Jaskier: He's after Geralt.
Yennefer: What? Why? What does he want with him?
Jaskier: Oh you know, I assumed it was to drink tea and eat crumpets and wax nostalgia over old times. I don't know Yennifer, so why don't you conjure up a portal or do your mind talking and warn him? You owe him that.
Yennefer: I owe him as much as he owes me, nothing more, nothing less. Anyway, I can't. No magic, remember? (sighing) Fuck!
Jaskier: You don't get to play the damsel in distress. That's my job.

Triss: (Walks in Ciri's room) What are you doing? I know you know how dangerous this is.
Ciri: I'm not afraid.
Triss: Have you thought about Geralt? What he'd say? Why do you want this so badly Ciri?
Ciri: Because I'm sick of feeling lost. Everything I was told my whole life was a lie. And the people I love most in this world were taken from me before I could find the truth.
Triss: What you're doing won't change any of that.
Ciri: But it might help me find a new truth.

[Vesemir is about to inject Ciri with Witcher mutagens before being interrupted]

Geralt: What are you doing?
Ciri: Geralt.
Vesemir: She's meant to be. To rebuild us.
Geralt: She is not. She's a girl, all you'll do is poison her.
Vesemir: She can do this.
Ciri: I made him do it, Geralt. (Geralt unchains Ciri) Stop, I wanted him to try. Geralt, stop!
Geralt: Did you not think of the consequences? What if you were killed?
Ciri: Stop. Stop! All I ever think about are consequences. No matter how hard I train, no matter what I do, it'll never be enough.
Geralt: You are already enough, Cirilla. You are extraordinary.
Ciri: I want to be like you, Geralt. I want to be indifferent to the past, to the lies, to the things I've done. Please. Let me have that.
Geralt: That is not how it works. Neither you nor I can just forget who we are. We can't kill our feelings. Our best chance, is to kill the hatred that we may hold onto and move on.

Gage: (Stops Cahir from entering Cintra) You must declare yourself before entering Xin'trea.
Cahir: Stand aside.
Gage: (Shoves back Cahir) Fall back in line!
Cahir: I said stand aside.
Filavandrel: Perhaps you didn't hear. There's no entry until you report. So who are you?
Cahir: I am Commander Mawr Dyffryn aep Ceallach. Who the fuck are you?

Voleth Meir [2.07]

Jaskier: Good sir, you would not know talent if I shoved it up your... Geralt.
(uncomfortable silence)
Jaskier: ...Fuck it.
(they hug)
Geralt: I've missed you, too.

[Meeting Yarpen after he threw an axe at Geralt's and Jaskier's location]
Geralt: Yarpen Zigrin. Your aim's gone to shit.
Yarpen: Well if it isn't the white fucking wolf and the big fucking mouth! (Both shake hands and turns to comrades) Put your weapons down! Numpty arseholes. This is an old friend.
Jaskier: Friends, plural. Julian Alfred Pankratz, Viscount de-
Yarpen: Yeah! I know! (Takes axe back from Jaskier)

Geralt: I thought ignoring Ciri's existence would make everything better. I was wrong.
Jaskier: And what about Yennefer?
Geralt: If she's hurt Ciri, I may just have to kill her.
Jaskier: Oh no well, obviously we'll kill her. We'll definitely going to kill her, I just haven't found a good enough jabbing stick yet. But what if she's changed too? Look, people do stupid things when they think they're trapped in a corner, Geralt. And they say stupid things. That's what friends do. They come back.
Geralt: This is different. And I'm sorry, Jaskier.
Jaskier: Oh you are so emotional! I mean, it's just yap, yap, yap with you sometimes. (mocking Geralt) "Oh, Jaskier, I'm so sad and complicated!"
Geralt: Shut up, Jaskier.
Jaskier: You shut up. That's a perfect impression of you, by the way.

Family [2.08]

Jaskier: (to himself) "Right the wrongs"?! Well Yennefer, I don't see how things could get any wronger!

Eredin: Child of the Elder Blood, starry-eyed Daughter of Chaos. Join our hunt, your place is among us. You are ours.

Geralt: You're whole again.
Yennefer: I felt it come back when I... I...
Geralt: When you sacrificed yourself for Ciri.
Yennefer: A sacrifice I'd make again, in a heartbeat.
Geralt: I don't forgive you Yennifer.
Yennefer: I know I've hurt you. Yet I can't help but wish it could begin again.
Geralt: Use your knowledge of magic to train the girl. You're the only person who's helped her control her powers.
Yennefer: As if I'd trust anyone else with her.
Geralt: (Pauses) Villentretenmerth told us we were made for each other, destined for each other. And that nothing would come of it, because destiny alone isn't sufficient. Something more is needed. She is something more.

Ciri: Everytime I think I move forward, there's this force bringing me back into darkness. I'm just tired, Geralt.
Geralt: I'm tired too, Ciri. But what of it? Life goes on. Us three, we'll help each other. What is destined cannot be avoided.
Yennefer: And it shouldn't be.

Fringilla: The elves are already fighting in the North. They may not wear our colors, but they are doing our bidding. And they are pursuing the girl, of course.
Emhyr Var Emreis: In my experience, elves only care about elves. How did you convince them to fight?
Cahir: By killing their hope.
Fringilla: We lay the blame on Redania. But it was us who killed the elven baby. We would do anything for the White Flame.
Emhyr Var Emreis: Losing a child is brutal. But you are right. It can move mountains.
Fringilla: Desperate times.
Cahir: Desperate measures.
Emhyr Var Emreis: (Raising hand) Desperate indeed. I would know.
Cahir: Sir?
Emhyr Var Emreis: That's how I felt when I realized that I could no longer count on you, to fulfill my mission. I'm the one who ordered the death of that Elven baby, I had to. It was the best path to helping me find my daughter.

Shaerrawedd [3.01]

Gallatin: Let me know if you plan to start holding weapons back next, leaving unarmed Squirrels to fight for our freedom.
Francesca: I told you, I've given you all the fighters I can spare.
Gallatin: We both know that's bullshit. Your best fighters are running secret missions for who the fuck knows where, while the rest of us are out there following orders, attacking convoys, doing the work to get our land back
Francesca: Doing the bidding of yet another self-important human.
Gallatin: You think I give a shit about that White Flame nonsense? I give a shit about food in my stomach and a place to call home. I have plans and they don't involve dying in the woods because of your selfishness.
Francesca: Plans with Nilfgaard?
Gallatin: What don't you get? If Nilfgaard takes the North, elves are free everywhere. The whole Continent is our Dol Blathanna
Francesca: We tried sharing the Continent for centuries. If there's to be another genocide, this time, it'll be the humans'.
Gallatin: (Shakes head) You keep spouting off about ancient times, prophecies. I don't know what you're looking for out there, but you want to keep elves alive? Here we are.

Ciri: (Enters room finely dressed) What do you think?
Geralt: (Sighing) I think you need to hide your hair and mask your eyes.
Ciri: (Hurt) Would it kill you to say, "You look lovely"? (Storms away)
Geralt: Ciri. I knew this was a bad idea.
[Yennefer enters the room, also finely dressed]
Geralt: (Speechless and pauses) You look lovely.

Yarpen: Oi, You lute-playin' walloper!
Jaskier: (exasperated) Again, with this fresh hell, Mr. Zigrin! (Points at himself) Julian Alfred Pankratz.
Yarpen: Yeah I know, I know, I fucking know!
Jaskier: I know you know. It's a rules of three thing, has to be done. What can I do for you, Yarpen?
Yarpen: I've got ears and good taste, so nothing. But your friends need help.
Jaskier: (sighing) Of course they do.

Unbound [3.02]

[Yennefer is dragging Ciri away after starting a scene with King Demavend's messenger, Aplegatt]
Yennefer: Remember I said we need to keep a low profile? That was not that.
Ciri: I cannot control my visions.
Yennefer: You can control who you blab to.
Ciri: Stop hauling me like I'm a mewling brat! I saw his death and I need to go back there.
Yennefer: What if his death prevented a greater harm? What would the consequences be then, my ugly one?
Ciri: I don't know.
Yennefer: I don't know either. But changing destiny is a weighty business.

Codringher: Geralt, my friend. A time of contempt is approaching. Deep and utter contempt. My proposition is a simple solution, someone has to die so someone else can live.
Geralt: I will not pay for what I love by having contempt for myself.

Ciri: Might as well talk about it. I know you're angry.
Yennefer: I'm not angry. I'm disappointed. I did say we needed to avoid unwanted attention.
Ciri: I know.
Yennefer: This one's on me. In all those lessons, I should've have taught you that sometimes, discretion is more important than valor.
Ciri: You sound like Geralt.
Yennefer: Well, he isn't always wrong.
Ciri: One day, I may be queen and I'll need to use what I've got. And what I've got is a sense of justice, a dagger and quick reflexes. You and Geralt taught me those things.
Yennefer: Then our teachings were incomplete, because what we should have taught you is about consequences.
Ciri: Consequences are just an excuse not to act, even when someone's going to be killed. You didn't see that child's eyes, I had to do what I did-
Yennefer: No, you chose to interfere. That messenger in Ellander, his fate is a mystery, but I know what will happen here. Dominik Houvenaghel will send his cousin Leo Bonhart here to recuperate his losses with money or with blood. The townspeople who do survive will be conscripted to fight against the war that's looming on the horizon, where they'll die on the battlefield. If disease or starvation doesn't claim them first. You saved one and the consequences has likely damned a hundred others in exchange.
Ciri: What is the point in me seeing the future if I can't do anything to change it? Well why would you understand? You see what you want, you make it happen. You snap your fingers, mountains move, men bend to your will. How would you know what it's like to fight for control of your life?

Gallatin: Francesca spouts her nonsense about her prophecies, Hen Ichaer, while the Scoia'tel die pillaging supplies, all so we don't die from hunger and frost.
Cahir: And I thought all you pointies were supposed to be superstitious. You don't believe in the legends of the Elder Blood?
Gallatin: Please, my people were building civilizations while you blunt-eared bastards still thought thunder was the gods passing wind. I believe in facts.

Yennefer: My whole life, I've had so much power. But I've never been perfect. I fought with Tissaia every step of the way, I wanted to do things my way. That letter? I don't know if I'll be welcomed back to Aretuza. Like you, I once chose to interfere. I set a prisoner free and in doing so, I set the entire North against the Brotherhood and the Brotherhood against each other.
Ciri: Those bodies hanging at the tavern. All those executions.
Yennefer: The whole Continent is paying the consequences. And you, because of me. It's not enough to possess Chaos. You and I, we must learn to control it, that is the essence of power. That is how we will move mountains. Together. Come along, Ciri.

Reunion [3.03]

Radovid: You... all that talk of making the queen more useful... You and Phillipa did this. You won't get away with it. It's treason. I'll tell my brother.
Djikstra: Tell him what, exactly? That his strong, opinionated queen, gods rest her soul, went a little rogue in the secret meetings... and deserved to be assassinated? On your watch?
Radovid: He trusted you.
Djikstra: Trusts. He trusts me, now more than ever. I am his most important advisor, whereas you are a weak, silly, ineffectual little shit who just delivered his wife's head to him in a box. Well, now I come to think of it, how do we know you weren't involved in her treachery? (Grabs Radovid) You want to help? Go back to sucking on the royal teat until you're just drunk enough to forget this terrible tragedy. And keep your mouth shut. (Whispering) Because next time, it could be your head in a box.
