Caldera Camp: This ramshackle shelter, precariously sits at the base of an active volcano, is the first and potentially last stop for the most intrepid conservationists.
Key Point: This classic deserted islet formed from the natural accumulation of sand shored up by the surrounding reefs happens to make for the prefect untouched beach.

Brooks Bridge Borough: Situated in the center of Glimmerbrook this simple cottage is near the best fishing spots in all of Glimmerbrook. Not to mention the gorgeous Simstagram photos that can be taken from the nearby bridge.
Glimmerbrook Watch: An ancient plot nestled deep within Glimmerbrook. Some say the previous resident was tasked with guarding an ancient relic located atop the Glimmerbrook Waterfall. Legend has it the owner disappeared one night never to be seen again. Maybe they vanished into some other dimension?
Elixirs and Brews: A local establishment that's been in Glimmerbrook as far back as anyone can remember, and though it has had some upgrades through the years, it's still full of nostalgic charm.
The Magic Realm (hidden lot): The Magic Realm is the source of all magic. Unfortunately, it is slowly being pulled apart by the swirling vortex surrounding it. The only thing that is keeping it together is the balance between the three houses of magic. Each house has a Sage that is the master in their respective style. If any imbalance is ever struct between these Sages the entire realm could collapse.

Britechester (Discover University)

edit
Begin a new chapter in the historical University of Britechester or modern Foxbury Institute. Live in a dorm room or off-campus in the welcoming town of Gibbs Hill. Explore Britechester on a bicycle, spend time in the student commons, and have a study session at the library. Cheer on the student body at a school spirit event and wear school colors to show your Sim’s pride.

Districts and lots

edit
University of Britechester
edit
This university is the oldest in Britechester, founded by the famous Felix Psyded, who was well known for his enthusiasm for learning and humorously large books. As the years have passed the University of Britechester has established itself as an esteemed institute of classical education.
Darby's Den: Darby's Den is the best location on campus to fuel up before the big exam, work on homework, and make new friends. The evening tea and poetry readings are a hit with the students, and nobody can withstand watching the great debates that have occurred here. It's snug and comfy, just right for the den of the Britechester Dragons.
Drake Hall: Drake Hall is the best dorm on campus no matter what those Wyvern Hall students say. With the best view of campus from their balcony, the students that live here have nothing to complain about.
Wyvern Hall: Wyvern Hall has an all out feud with Drake Hall over who more exemplifies the spirit of Darby, Britechester's mascot. Of course for those that live in Wyvern Hall there is no question which is the superior dorm.
Darkwing House: This cottage sitting on the edge of campus was rumored to once be the home of Felix Psyded, founder of the University of Britechester. The cozy home has been updated through the years for student housing so that some could have a house away from home.
Foxbury Institute
edit
Foxbury Institute may seem young compared to the historical town surrounding it, but it has quickly distinguished itself in academia. For the students who have worked hard to attend Foxbury Institute, it’s not just work, but the pursuit of personal passions that keeps this campus bustling.
Larry's Lagoon: The Foxbury commons, fondly referred to as Larry's Lagoon, is the perfect place for students to recharge after a long day of classes. There's food, and lots of space to study or work on homework when students are tired of dealing with their roommates. Computers and Robotics Workstations gives everyone a chance to use the latest technology to get a kickstart to a new term.
Tidal Tower: Tidal Tower is one of the twin dorms at Foxbury Institute. This top floor housing is highly coveted by returning students particularly for its single room dorm and peak views of the Foxbury campus.
Briny Tower: Briny Tower is great starter housing for incoming Freshmen. With a new friend in each room and an overlooking view of the whole campus it is one of the best introductions to university life a student could ask for.
Maritime Manor: Foxbury Institute is aware that dorms are not the preferred living choice for all students, so they have built a few houses on campus for those that prefer a more homey living style.
Gibbs Hill
edit
Gibbs Hill is nestled in the center of Britechester right between the two universities. Foxbury Institute and the University of Britechester. It was the first center of activity in Britechester and its famous Laurel Library has stayed a key location for many students to study and learn. The Pepper's Pub has also become a common spot for students from all around to make friends regardless of their rivalries.
Honeydew Fields: Nothing seems quite real about Honeydew Fields, but staying here forever feels like a real possibility. With the nearby Pepper's Pub and Laurel Library, Honeydew Fields is a great location for those on a budget who don't mind a bit of hustle and bustle from being close to the center of town.
Mossy Lane: The prominent half of the spacious two lot complex, Mossy Lane is an idyllic location beneath beautiful blue skies, and an impossible location to forget.
Spring Steppes: As one of the two prime locations in Gibbs Hill, Spring Steppes is a lush location with great views of the canals and an easy trip to both the bar and library.
Laurel Library: Laurel Library sits at the top of Gibbs Hill, a proud and prominent fixture of the town. Students from all around have used this library forever as a place to study, research, and find a little quiet away from their universities.
Pepper's Pub: Pepper's Pub has been serving the universities of Britechester for as long as they've been around. The drinks are cheap to keep the college students coming in, and they've become a home for the many organizations that have been formed over time.

Evergreen Harbor (Eco Lifestyle)

edit
Sandwiched between rolling hills of evergreen forest on one side and the waters of the Willupette Sound on the other, Evergreen Harbor used to be the industrial hub of the region. However, as the world changed around it, the region has struggled to keep up. A place where Sims value their community and neighborly love isn't just a pastime, Evergreen Harbor now stands on the precipice of making its own future. The only question is: what kind of future will it be?

Grims Quarry
edit
When prospector Arnold Grims founded his famous rock quarry in Evergreen Harbor, he could hardly have predicted the little suburb that would spring up around it decades later. Today, a cozy set of homes, apartments, and spaces for community use sits in the shadow of the walls of striking white stone.
Conifer Station
edit
What happens when the trains stop running? Downtown Evergreen, affectionately known to locals as Conifer Station, may be a bit quieter nowadays, but residents will tell you that the defunct train station and unsightly storage tanks hide a hard-working community eager to imporove their little corner of the world.
Port Promise
edit
What was once a bustling trade port now holds a number of homes and businesses that pay homage to their industrial roots and aim to, as the local expression goes, "Keep Evergreen Kooky!" While the actual port may no longer be running, the promise of something better remains.
The Old Mill: This beautifully repurposed space that sits at the base of the Croftville Dam is a meeting-place of past and present, as a modern home lives in the shell of a classic wood mill.
The Shipping Views: To be honest, this lot isn't even officially zoned for residential living, but this affordable home of converted shipping containers - not to mention the views of the Sound! - is the perfect place for anyone looking for a simple place to call home.
The Portsmouth Promenade: Situated right past the entrance gate to Port Promise, this lot provides gorgeous views of the old port while within walking distance to most of the local landmarks.
The Waterfront: An old port building now owned by the community, The Waterfront is always the "next" revitalization project, but seems to have a hard time getting the love and attention it deserves.
The Caboose: This old train station is now the perfect place to house a simple bar where people can get together and talk about a time when there was an old train station here.

Megumi Ito grew up in Senbamachi. A gold medalist skier, she aims to give her children the same upbringing, but memories of an old flame might drive her to distraction. Naoki Ito is a former medalist himself. A calculating businessman, his controversial vision of Mt. Komorebi includes more tourism, more money, and modernization. Rumor says that the Nishidake family are sacred guardians of Mt. Komorebi. Indeed, Shigeru fumes over the Ito family's local development plans. Sachiko, however, feels warmly toward Megumi due to an old friendship with the young woman's mom. Plus, she knows what's in her granddaughter's heart... Kaori moved to Mt. Komorebi after losing her parents. She soon discovered two loves: the slopes, and the son of her grandfather's sworn enemy! If she had one wish, she'd melt her grandfather's hardened heart.

Henford-on-Bagley (Cottage Living)

edit
From the natural beauty of Cordelia Falls to the clear, brisk currents of the River Bagley, the mingling of earth and water makes Henford-on-Bagley a lovely place to visit, but perhaps and even lovelier place to live. Villagers here connect with the history of the land while finding friendship in the furry and feathery creatures that inhabit the woods. So what if the average neighbor is a little more gossipy? You couldn't ask for a better place to grow, tend, and nurture a more natural life.

Old New Henford
edit
An area that boasts rolling hills, lush estates, and a small community garden, Old New Henford is perhaps best known for its historical naming woes. Initially known as Little Henford, the neighborhood renamed itself New Henford in an attempt to escape its diminutive origins. However, in neglecting to inform national mapmakers, they ceased to officially exist for a two-week period. When told that to be reinstated would require yet another name change, residents chose Old New Henford, which beat out the other choice – New New Henford – by a single vote.
The Bramblewood

The natural beauty of these woods have long provided a picturesque place for many wild birds, rabbits, and foxes to call home. Whether secreting a small surprise under Sophie the Snail, bringing an easel to paint the serene Cordelia Falls, foraging for wild mushrooms, or finding romance among the ruins of the Isle of Volpe, any Sim would be transformed by a day in the Bramblewood.

Cover-art Sims

2014
edit

Amber Stein

Amber's a lovable goof who puts a smile on the face of anyone she encounters. As a self-professed comedian, she even manages to practice her set on occasion at local lounges. In fact, that's where she met Armand. There he was in the audience, in one of his moods, trying to get cheered up... There she was, telling bad jokes on the stage, and dancing awkwardly. They immediately hit it off, and have been best friends ever since!

Andre DaSilva

Andre is a tough nut to crack. Anyone who works with him recognizes his genius, but his mood swings drive people away. He can go from silly, to embarrassed, to angry in a flash. When he's not staring at his computer screen, he tends to be hatching a mischievous scheme... but it's difficult for him to recognize when his pranks cross the line. Ultimately, it's cute, cuddly, innocent animals that he bonds best with.

Armand DiAggro

Some Sims have taken to avoiding Armand, as his snobbish attitude can rub others the wrong way. In reality, it's a public persona he's developed to hide his sensitive side. In the privacy of his home, he enjoys a good cry in the bathtub to put his emotions at ease. Whenever he's feeling down, he calls his bestie Amber Stein—it's impossible to feel gloomy around her!

Babs L’Amour

Babs' time as a Mixologist was the perfect opportunity to meet—and date—a lot of interesting people that came into and out of her life. Ultimately, she fell completely in love with Ollie. After a picturesque wedding (and three beautiful children), she found herself wanting a new line of work away from the bar scene. Turns out, she's had a talent for writing pent up inside her this entire time.

Cassidy Purdue

From a young age, it was obvious that Cassidy would blossom as a musical prodigy. She would fight with her brother, Ollie, over her need to diligently practice the piano—Ollie just wanted a quiet home to draw in. As a teen, she took up the guitar and quickly mastered that as well. To Cassidy, technology is a bore... Shed much rather spend an afternoon exploring a vintage record store.

Erroll Dowd

Erroll fancies himself a musician, but he really needs a manager to provide better direction to his career. In his last get-famous-quick scheme, he applied to a reality music competition. When he lost in the final episode, his star faded. Ultimately, people just don't remember second place. Ever since then he's overhauled his wardrobe to dress himself just like the producers did on the show, hoping to be recognized around town. Sadly, nobody has yet.

George Rivers

George is a buttoned up kind of guy. He keeps his head down, works hard, and wants the world to recognize his vast array of skills. At home though, it's a different story. That's when any noble pursuits get cast aside in favor of junk food and video games. His darkest secret? He keeps voodoo dolls of his friends, observes them from afar, and waits for the perfect opportunity to torment them. His second darkest secret? He wishes he was a cowboy.

Holly Vinedal

Holly likes to daydream about becoming a famous country singer, but in reality she's a down home southern girl. From sun up to sun set, you'll find her in the great outdoors—typically with a fishing rod in hand.

June Kay

Nothing will deter June from accomplishing her goals in life, even if they are a bit erratic. She once got WAY into woodworking... random, right? But she followed through; months of hard work in the gym built the muscles she needed to carve every piece of furniture in her home from a solid oak tree. Something else she realized she wanted was Steve Fogel—they're an odd couple, but ambition is a trait this pair will never find themselves short of.

Kai Kahue

Kai doesn't need a weight bench to workout—the world is his gym. Whether he's jogging, swimming, or competing in sports, he's never not moving. His questionable sense of social cues has yet to hold him back in life; case in point—he doesn't receive pushback (or complaints) despite his proclivity to walk around shirtless. His physique is practically a walking billboard for his side hustle of mentoring other Sims in their exercise regimens.

Lacey Stiles

Lacey's parents frequently tell her she needs to grow up. She's teetering on the brink between party girl and socialite, has distinctly different social groups in each category, and hasn't committed to either path yet. To keep this double life in check, she calls herself Stacey whenever she's attending a highbrow affair.

Ollie Purdue

Oh Ollie... He's always been a bit of a dreamer in life. His family worried he was destined to be destitute, his artistic talents going unrecognized. It turned out, he simply needed his muse. While nursing a drink in The Blue Velvet Nightclub one evening, he locked eyes with Babs—his life was never the same again. A whirlwind romance with Babs led to marriage and fatherhood; Ollie would never be called a starving artist again!

Sean Sullivan

For Sean, social norms are there to be broken. Of course, there isn't much to to rebel against in the idyllic neighborhood of Willow Creek, so Sean resorts to... unconventional means... On weekends, he beats children at chess in the park (cheating, if necessary.) He once made out with an elder, just to freak out his mom. He loves to self quote himself; his favorite being, "I eat plaid for breakfast. Spikeburgers for lunch. No authority for dessert."

Sophia Jordan

Sophia is a unique artist, as she's gifted with synaesthesia. She's overwhelmed by colors as she walks through the world, which causes her to scurry home and put paint to canvas while images are still vivid in her mind. Though she tends to focus on her art in lieu of a social life, she still holds lingering feelings for Ollie Purdue, who she once had a brief fling with before he settled down.

Steve Fogel

Somewhere in an alternate dimension, a Steve Fogel exists that's a big-rig trucker. In this reality though, Steve has bigger career goals in mind... He dreams of being a space trucker, hauling cargo across the cosmos. It's this bold ambition that attracted his wife, June, to his side. With her healthy cooking, he will be spaceworthy in no time. As a natural goof, you may find him at a comedy club practicing his (harmless) one-liners on the crowd.

Technology is an important aspect of Emiko's life, especially since her childhood best friend, Valeria López, moved away from Japan at a young age. It's allowed them to keep in touch.

Gabby Gonzalez

Something of a hipster, Gabby changed her name when 'Gabriela' became the new baby name sensation of the year. She loves going to festivals with friends! Unfortunately, her twin brother Gael regularly tags along, trying to fit in. It's weird, but she loves him. Though she used to be uptight... years of taking care of Gael's messes have mellowed Gabby, and now she'd rather spend a chill evening, listening to the best undiscovered artists.

Gael Gonzalez

Gael is a bit clumsy and kind of messy, but he always has the best intentions! So what if he accidentally set his sister's beloved bowler on fire three times? Those things are ridiculously flammable! He thinks his twin sister, Gabby, and her friends are the best, so he regularly tags along—even if they don't have a lot in common. Deep down, what he really wants is to meet a group of buds to watch the next big game together.

Hunter Evans

Big hearted and expressive, Hunter is an outspoken activist for the LGBTQIA community; he's passionate about creating space for people to come together and feel supported. He's cultivated a huge social media following, and his followers count on him to document every moment for the world to see. When he's not authoring content for his channel, he partners with his bestie Camille on a nutrition and wellness series.

Jayden Armstrong

Jayden is a personal trainer, with an easy and charming approach to life. Starting in childhood, he found camaraderie through sports, and satisfaction through challenging himself to do his best in any physical feat. Ultimately, that's what drew him to his work as a personal trainer. Always curious and down for anything, Jayden's mellow attitude is a great complement to his girlfriend, Zoe—a feisty, outgoing professional dancer.

Kaiden Bryant

A bit of a flirt, Kaiden is a sweetie looking for genuine connections. He's easily likeable and not afraid to show off his silly side. Kaiden's biggest flaw: he's a little too obsessed with Thorne Bailey's music. (It horrifies his friends when he shows up dressed like Thorne to parties.) Even still, Kaiden hopes he can overcome his timidity and make it big in the entertainment business just like his role-model.

Kasen Henry

There are those who might say Kasen is a bit materialistic... He'd say he has good taste (but let's face it, they wouldn't be wrong). Designer shirt: $300 Simoleons. Designer glasses: $450 Simoleons. His haircut: $200 Simoleons. Maybe someday he will achieve his goals of becoming a famous DJ, but for now... he's glad to just look good.

Kat Jenkins

Quirky, creative, a hopeless romantic... Kat is a sweetheart who has aspirations to chase a career in fashion. Her dark secret: She's obsessed with dinosaurs and other buried secrets. While part of her would like to give up fashion and pursue archaeology, it's a little out of her comfort zone. For now, she's content to collect as many dino-curios and fossils as she can and display them around the house... or is she?

Kierra Tilo

Kierra is your average-run-of-the-mill-heiress who grew up in a beach-mansion. It's hard being Kierra! She's always had to wonder if people don't just like her because of her money, or her hot tub, or her hair. It -is- fabulous! Occasionally, she likes to dress down and pretend to be 'normal.' It doesn't help that her crush Ross Valentin snubs her whenever he gets the chance. He's the only guy that's never been interested!

Kurt Lumberjackson

Kurt comes from an impressive lineage of lumberjacks. While forestry is in his blood, his real passion lies in apiculture (or Beekeeping)! Kurt loves his little bumblies. He even tried to make a shop selling bee products called Kurt's Bees–which didn't go over super well. As long as he's stuck in Granite Falls, he knows he will never get out of the family business, so Kurt is off on an adventure, beyond his comfort zone, to chase his dreams!

Lí Loh

Some Sims dream of being a master chef, but not Lí Loh. He wants to master the Art of Mixology. Dazzle patrons near and far with fantastical drinks, bizarre concoctions, and gift them with the art of his moves. He's spent years studying, traveled around the world experiencing the drinks of different cultures, and he's ready. Oh, he's ready.

Marco Russo

Marco is a painter who has never really known what he wants in life. What he does know is that he's happy with a brush in his hand and a cup of coffee at his side. More than anything he likes painting people. Wrinkly Sims, round Sims, youthful Sims, Sims with no hair, Sims with blue hair! He believes distinctions are what make Sims so beautiful, and he wants to capture every small detail.

Mia Hayes

With a head for numbers, and a creative eye, Mia splits her time between freelance programmer and artist gigs. Being both a bit of an introvert, and a bit of a rebel, this independence suited her outlook in life. Mia has a unique way of attracting creative, high-energy friends like Noah, and her girlfriend Dela. They love her genuine, almost kid-like enthusiasm. She is the glue that bonds her social circles together.

Morgan Park

Morgan is all-in, all the time. Driven by her life-long love of sport, Morgan believes life is meant to be lived, not spent behind a desk. She's always up for any adventure her friends suggest, and always pushes herself to do more. With her track and cross-country scholarships, she was always a top performing athlete at university. She's currently training for her first Iron Man competition, which means a lot of time in the pool and on a bike.

Noah Meyer

Bold and dynamic, Noah is all about using photography & film to evoke emotion and get people talking. Both on and off set, he's happiest when he's calling the shots, or making people laugh. He will admit that he's maybe a little too obsessed with his Simstagram followers, but they've certainly helped expand his career. Witty, confident, and motivated by success, Noah can sometimes come across as having a little too much ego—but it's all in the name of his art.

Ross Valentin

For Ross, everything needs to be clean, he doesn't like kids (aka germ-monsters), and he has a quick temper. That said, there was never a Sim who loved doing laundry quite as much, he's great around adults, and he doesn't let interpersonal-relationship problems fester! Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of his life is that spoiled Kierra Tilo won't stop messaging him, and his beloved Brent Hong doesn't know he exists. Such is life!

Sydney Wright

With a quick wit and a huge vocabulary, Sydney is quietly competitive, focused, and ambitious. She works at one of the nation's premiere business firms, where she's been promoted twice in under two years. As an only child, Sydney craves the real conversation and deeper connection you get in one-on-one friendships. Ever loyal, with incredibly high standards, Sydney is slow to let people into her inner circle. Once there, you're a friend for life.

Tommi Turner

Tommi never really liked the name 'Tomasina,' so she's been 'Tommi' as long as she can remember. She's a business professional with big dreams! Unfortunately, she keeps getting passed up for promotions (that Sydney Wright gets). It must be Sydney's quick wit and huge vocabulary! Will a friendship ever develop or is it all downhill from here?

Tristen Palmer

Tristen grew up an only child in Brindleton Bay. Despite being a quiet Sim, rural life never appealed to Tristen, so he moved to the city the first chance he got. Will his sarcastic wit shine through and help him make new friends despite being a loner? Who knows! But if not, a dog or cat are always an option... maybe even a roommate!

Valeria López

While Valeria spent her early years with her mother's family in Japan, she left with her mom and dad to travel the world for her father's research work when she was still young. They haven't stopped moving since! Thankfully, she's kept in contact with her best friend, Emiko Mori! Now that she's an adult, she needs to figure out what to do with her life: adventure, explore her father's Venezuelan heritage, or take on a new challenge?

Zoe Flores

Zoe lights up every room she enters. She's been passionate about dance since preschool, and her natural curiosity has led her to explore many difference dance forms and techniques. As a young Latinx woman, family and community are incredibly important to Zoe. She brings her values to life by volunteering as a youth dance teacher at a local community center. Someday, she may even manage to teach her boyfriend Jayden to dance as well!

Uncredited Extra (1): Many aspiring actors/actresses move to the Del Sol Valley with a dream to act professionally. (Sim Name) seeks to see his/her name in lights as a star in the latest summer blockbuster. That is a long way off. For now he/she must be happy walking briskly in the background as a uncredited extra. (Sim Name) can sign up for auditions and hopefully work some Commercial gigs.

Detective (Get to Work)

General

Crime Scene: At a Crime Scene, you can find clues that will help you track down a suspect. Investigate damaged or stolen objects and Search for Clues on the groud nearby to uncover more evidence. Also, talk with Witnesses to get a report about what happened.
All Points Bulletin: : A suspect fitting the APB description has been spotted in this area! Ask around to see if anyone can point you toward the suspect. Use the Notebook to review the suspect description before you make an arrest. If you arrest the wrong person, it won't look good on your record.
Good Job Performance: (Sim Name) did a Good Job today. The citizens of this community will surely appreciate his/her desire to protect and serve!
Fantastic Job Performance: (Sim Name) did a Fantastic Job today. There may be a shinier badge and new title in his/her future...
Training Day 1: Welcome to the Force
edit
It's time to start fighting crime! First things first, use a computer to get a case assignment.
Now that you've gathered evidence from the Crime Scene, it's time to start tracking down a suspect. Use the Chemical Analyzer and Computer to evaluate the evidence you found at the Crime Scene. There's a chance you'll discover some information about who commited the crime.
Nice work! Analyzing evidence from the Crime Scene allows you to discover clues about the suspect. Once you're running your own case, you'll have to analyze lots of evidence before you can find the suspect. For now, use a computer to file the Crime Scene evidence so that the senior detective can take over.
Good work! THe evidence you found will be helpful to the detective in charge of this case. Once you get your own case, you'll have to follow up on the evidence yourself. Tomorrow, you'll learn about the next steps in a case. For now, take some time to help process cirminals here at the station.
Training Day 2: Train Harder
edit
There's still a bit more to learn before you'll be ready for your own case. First, it's time to get out into the community and start building your reputation as a friendly protector or hardened authority figure. After that, you'll get to take a shot at finding and arresting a suspect. Get a move on, rookie!
When an officer is on patrol, they can get to know the community and help keep troublemakers in check. Talk with residets to make a friedly (or mean) impression. If you see anyone littering or fighting, issue a citation to make sure they obey the law.
You have processed enough clues to issue an All Points Bulletin (APB). While you have a rough description of the suspect, the more clues you find and process, the more specific the description becomes. When you have a very detailed description of the perp, you will be less likely to arrest an innocent who shares a few similarities with the guilty party.
Now that you've learned about work out in the world, you should know that there's plenty to do around the station too. Run criminals through the Booking Station, take Crime Reports from civilians, and get to know your Co-workers. You can also use the gym upstairs to stay fit or browse the database on a computer to bolster your knowledge of the criminal mind.

Astronaut (at SpaceY)

edit
Who doesn't dream of going to space? Become an astronaut and the galaxy will be your playground.
Intern (1): (Sim Name)'s always had dreams about exploring the cosmos, walking among the stars, and discovering places unknown. His/Her journey begins here, in the file room, categorizing expense reports.
Module Cleaner (2): Little-known fact: Space is an absolutely filthy place. When the shuttles return, guess who gets to hose them down and scrub off the gunk? <sim first name> hopes the goo is just dirt and not some incurable form of Oozing Space Measles.
Technician (3): (Sim Name) doesn't think of himself/herself as just a glorified mechanic. The shuttle costs billions of Simoleons, and any screw-ups would cost lives. He/She's more like a glorified engineer.
Command Center Lead (4): Guiding virtual rockets into place, analyzing the movements of blinking dots on a computer screen, running simulations.... Looks like all those hours (Sim Name) spent playing video games are paying off!
Low-Orbit Specialist (5): Low orbit is where the real action is-satellites, space stations, space walks, daredevils attempting to break the world record for high-altitude parachuting. If something goes wrong, it's also the closest place to breathable air, while is why (Sim Name) likes it.
Space Cadet (6): (Sim Name) was hoping that if he/she "accidentally" derailed a shuttle-board "simulation" he/she might be able to launch the shuttle and get to space...but it turns out that actual spacecraft are pretty well-secured. That's good, because (Sim Name) is still learning how to space brake and star park.
Astronaut (7): This is it: Astronaut. The best of the best. The heroic few. The job kids want to be when they grow up that they still want to be as adults. (Sim Name) will now go boldly into that great beyond to explore the secrets of the universe and eat weird freeze-dried ice cream.
Space Ranger Branch
edit
Space is wild and unruly - a bit too unruly. Taking a post in the Planet Patrol ensures that space remains safe for future generations.

Also, he/she gets to talk like a sheriff!
Space Ranger (10): When the universe is in danger, one man/woman gets the call: (Sim Name), Space Ranger! With his/her stout heart, keen wits, and a phozoplasmic Warp Pack strapped to his/her back, Ranger (Sim Name) defends the known galaxies from evil!
Interstellar Smuggler Branch
edit
The Sim who wrangles the most of the stars takes advantage of the ungoverned frontier. Take any job - even if it doesn't touch the ground.
Moon Mercenary (8): Any ranger who's quick with a laser can make more Simoleons in private security than serving the public good. (Sim Name) protects galactic warlords, exterminates cabals of tribal terrorists, and helps corrupt governments maintain plausible deniability.
Alien Goods Trader (9): Want the horn of an endangered zygax? How about a quilt handmade from 2,000 tiny Q505Bs? Maybe just a few Gibsonian chill-out pods for the big party next weekend? (Sim Name) doesn't ask questions. He/She just makes it happen.
Interstellar Smuggler (10): There's no trade route too treacherous, no cargo too controversial for <sim first name> to covertly ship across the universe and into his/her customers' covetous hands. Capitalism is capitalism. And a 2000% markup is a 2000% markup.

Trainer to the Stars (8): Time to step up and help out the stars. They will need your assistance to maintain their looks. A star cannot be flabby or a skinny minny. They need to look fit and healthy when walking down the red carpet or auditioning for a role.
Celebrity Bodybuilder (9): You are on the cover of all of the fitness and bodybuilding magazines. Sims want to know how (Sim Name) got those rock hard abs and tight butt. His/her chiseled body didn't come easy. It took tons of work and there is still room to grow. Keep it up!

Reputation (Get Famous)

edit

Pristine

(Sim Name) is a shining beacon of positivity for the community. Passing by other Sims will elicit friendly waves and cheerful smiles, as everyone's day is brightened by his/her presence. Friends will be more forgiving if he/she commits any social miscues, and they won't be quick to judge him/her. Finally, (Sim Name) has earned the credibility to host his/her very own Charity Benefit parties. Gather other do-gooders together for a fun time while contributing towards excellent causes!

Great

Everyone loves attending social events that (Sim Name) hosts, so it'll be easier to achieve Gold Level rewards during one. In addition, he/she'll receive phone calls with exciting opportunities, such as attending Charity Benefit parties, job offers to join new careers--with immediate promotions up the ranks, and many more. Should (Sim Name) be interested in dating, a great reputation can help with that as well, Romantic introductions now have a chance of starting a relationship off with heightened romance.

Good

When introducing himself/herself to new Sims, (Sim Name) has a chance to start the relationship off with a higher amount of friendship, as his/her reputation now proceeds him/her.

Neutral

With a neutral reputation, other Sims won't be predisposed to feeling any particular way about you.

Bad

When attempting to make friends with new Sims, there's a chance that they'll have already heard of (Sim Name)'s disreputable actions, thus starting their relationship off on the wrong foot. That said, should he/she happen to introduced himself/herself to other troublemakers, they're likely to immediately hit things off and become fast friends.

Awful

Having an awful reputation can have it's benefits. (Sim Name) may receive some interesting opportunities from other Sims of ill repute, such as attending a Lampoon Party, making other scumbag friends, or being setup on dates with Sims of questionable morals. And if he/she finds himself/herself in a career that isn't exactly legal, he/she'll earn bonus job performance.

Atrocious

A reputation like (Sim Name)'s can elicit strong reactions. Other Sims that she encounters may display strongly negative reactions to his/her mere presence. With such an outright terrible reputation, it can be difficult building bridges with other Sims. Bribery is the answer. Bribe other Sims for their friendship... Bribe bosses for a boost in job performance... Money solves everything. Finally, (Sim Name) might as well lean into their reputation he/she's established. He/She can now throw his/her very own Lampoon Party! Just try not to make the guest of honor laugh themselves to death, ok?

Fame Level (Get Famous)

edit

Unknown

You're currently unknown, but there's no time like the present to start your journey to becoming famous! There are many different ways to become a celebrity, and as your Sim progresses in their skills and careers, more paths to stardom will become available. Some great ways to become famous include pursuing a career in Acting, or raising the Media Production Skill via the Video Station or Music Station objects. Look for interactions labeled with (+★Fame); each of these will contribute towards becoming a super star!

Notable Newcomer (★)

Notable Newcomers are Sims who have one star to their name and are on the rise to stardom. They gain their first fame perk point at this level, and unlock their first fame quirk slot.

Rising Star (★★)

A Rising Star is a Sim who has two stars to their name and has officially entered the spotlight. Other Sims will start noticing them in public, and new relationships now start off with a higher friendship value (if they don't have a bad reputation). Rising stars can sign autographs as an introduction, pose for pictures to their fans, and start a "Celebrity Meet and Greet" social party.

B-Lister (★★★)

B-Listers are Sims who have three stars to their name and a large following. They can give hugs to fans and take selfies with them. However, B-Listers are now also being followed by paparazzi; they will follow and take as many pictures of the celebrity as they can. It's up to the celebrity to embrace the flashing lights or turn them away. If fame ever gets overwhelming, B-Listers can put on a "Celebrity Disguise". Fans and paparazzi will not recognize them, but as a downside they can't gain fame while wearing a disguise.

Proper Celebrity (★★★★)

Proper Celebrities are Sims who have four stars to their name and an even larger following. Proper celebrities can incite cheers as a self-interaction to cause fans to go wild and other Sims to praise them. They now walk in their own celebrity walkstyle as well as give off a fame shine (both of which can be turned off through a self-interaction).

Global Superstar (★★★★★)

Global Superstars are Sims who have five stars to their name and have the largest following a Sim can have. Global superstars have now earned themselves a "Celebrity Tile" which is instantly available in their inventory. Sims can write a custom inscription on the tile and place it down on the walk of fame in Starlight Boulevard. The tile will remain regardless of what happens to the celebrity who owns it.

Fame Quirks (Get Famous)

edit

A Serious Actor

The acting studio is not the place for pranks or jokes, especially for an actor trying to evoke the right emotion during a dramatic scene. Such behavior frays on the concentration of actors, and eventually they snap. Anytime anyone attempts something funny or mischievous with a serious actor, they'll show their anger instead of cracking a smile. They'll hold everyone accountable for their professionalism on set, and anyone that steps out of line can expect to be the subject of a furious rant.

A Stan

Some fans take fandom a bit too seriously. These misguided Sims are known amongst celebrities as "Stans". Thankfully Stans don't mean you any harm, they just have a burning desire for you to know that you're the center of their universe. Their behavior manifests itself in a variety of ways, from attempting to chat with you while out in public, to showing up at your residence and digging through your trash cans. Should you choose to invite one into your home, keep a close eye on them... They'll always look for a chance to swipe a souvenir from their favorite superstar.

Brushes with Fame

For some celebrities, hobnobbing with the rich and famous become a way of life. They get sad if they spend too long amongst the general public, separated from other celebrities that they can actually relate to. They find themselves drawn to increasingly famous Sims, always seeking out the companionship and personal touch of those who are–at minimum–equally as famous as themselves.

Emotion Bomb

When the world rotates around you, it's easy to become the emotional center of your own universe. For these celebrities, anything angering will cause them to fly off the handle and become enraged. Anything that saddens them requires the world to stop as they struggle to process their feelings. These intense outbursts don't last long... After working through an emotional meltdown, they're back to acting as if nothing was ever wrong at all.

"Fan" Mail

Celebrities who open themselves up to the adoring public are occasionally in for a rude awakening, when they discover that not every Sim is a true fan. In reality, there are some Sims who actively dislike celebrities, and will make it a priority to ensure the target of their ire receives frequent "gifts" in the mail. Try not to take it personally.

Juice Enthusiast

Celebrities that are Juice Enthusiasts find themselves always wanting a drink of juice. If they don't regularly drink juice, they'll slip into foul moods, and will have a difficult time raising their Fun.

No Touching

Celebrities are forced to live their lives with little privacy, but invasions of their personal space still crosses a line. When they find themselves touched by non-famous Sims who aren't in their family, or who they aren't in a committed relationship with, they may grow to dread physical contact. They put on a smile for a fan who wants a friendly hug, but inside they feel tense, unhappy about the lack of respect for their boundaries. However, should they manage to avoid direct contact for awhile, they gain a renewed sense of confidence to take on the world.

Paparazzi Darling

Some celebrities simply adore being in front of the camera, and the paparazzi are happy to oblige. Celebrities that are Paparazzi Darlings will attract bigger crowds of paparazzi, they'll love having their photo taken, and they may earn positive reputation when their picture is taken.

Phone Fanatic

Celebrities who are Phone Fanatics are addicted to checking their phones. Whenever they have spare time, you'll likely find them tapping away at their phone's screen. Occasionally, they'll become Tense if they haven't been entertained by their phone recently.

Public Number

Celebrities with the Public Number quirk have had their phone number leak, and must endure receiving text messages from various Sims each day. Some Sims are just thrilled to have the chance to contact someone famous. Other Sims are quick to express their dislike of the rich and famous. Regardless, everyone has an opinion... and they're eager to share it.

Refined Palate

With fame comes fortune, and with fortune comes an expectation for the finer things in life. Such is the burden that some celebrities must endure. For these Sims, once they've gained a taste for the finest foods, there's simply no going back to just any old meal. These celebrities will find eating food that's of "Excellent" quality most delightful, but they'll turn their nose up in discomfort when forced to swallow food that's "Normal", or-dare I say-"Poor".

Vain Street

Maintaining a gorgeous appearance is of peak importance to celebrities... you never know when a paparazzi is going to pop out and snap a shot after all. This can lead to an inflated ego, and mirrors become a necessary crutch to constantly reaffirm that, yes... they're still gorgeous. Admiring their own reflection can instil a celebrity with confidence, but they also become anxious if they're separated from a mirror for too long.

Bouncer Interactions (Get Famous)

edit

Successful Bribe

With a wink, the bouncer took the bribe, opened the gate, and announced, "I'm not like a regular bouncer. I'm a cool bouncer." (Sim Name) has been allowed inside!

Convinced Successfully

Alright, alright, you've convinced me. Just don't go causing any trouble, got it? This isn't some dive for normal people..." Woo! (Sim Name) has gained exclusive access beyond the door! Wonder if he'll/she'll meet anyone famous inside?

Convinced Successfully as a Group

The bouncer offered a disinterested shrug. "Yeah, sure. Whatever. If they're with you, I guess that's cool." What a hero! (Sim Name) just got his/her entire group exclusive access!

Failed to Convince

The bouncer exhaled in annoyance. "It's not happening, dude/lady. Why don't you get out of here, so that the VIPs can get through?" Some people just can't be reasoned with... Despite a 'compelling' argument, the bouncer still denied (Sim Name) access.

Failed to Convince as a Group

The bouncer looked over your group skeptically. "Umm... nah. You can head on in, but your friends have to go..." Maybe (Sim Name) needs cooler friends? Or maybe the bouncer needs to stop being so stingy! Either way, only (Sim Name) is allowed access at this time.

Successfully Fought Bouncer

Kapow! (Sim Name) just dropped a bow on the bouncer. Who's going to stop him/her from getting in now? Who? Nobody? That's what he/she thought!

Failed to Fight Bouncer

With a laugh, the bouncer returned to their post. "Nice try! And how about you come back when you're someone!" Apparently the muscles weren't just for show. That bouncer handily defeated (Sim Name), and now his/her chances of getting in are pretty slim... Maybe there is another door somewhere else?

University Organizations

edit

There's always something happening around campus! Students can join University Organizatons to get the most out of their college experience. Each University has their own unique Organizations for enrolled students. Access the Organization Panel from the Social Groups button in the lower right corner of your screen (U).

From here, you can access information on upcoming Organization Events for your Sims' University. To join an Organization, have your Sim stop by any of their University's Events to meet existing Members. Once introduced, your Sim can simply ask any Member if they can join too!

Once a Sim is part of an Organization, the Organization Panel will show Tasks they can do to earn Points toward Organization progress, easy access to their Organizations's scheduled Events, and their current Organization Rank.

Attending University

edit

Sims can apply to University using the Mailbox or Computer. Depending on the Sim's skills, they may get accepted into Distinguished Degrees. If your Sim graduates with a Distinguished Degree, they can earn better benefits from their job than normal degrees. Each University specializes in several Distinguished Degrees.

Once a Sim has received acceptance to University, enrollment can be done using a Phone, a Mailbox or a Computer. There are a number of degrees and housing options available for potential students.

Sim can apply to Scholarships to help pay for university courses or student housing. Scholarships have different requirements; reviewing the Scholarship Info Packet on a computer describes different ways to eearn Scholarships.

Sims can see their schedule of classes and final requirements for the term in the Career Panel. Sims can get good grades by going to class, doing their homework, studying on textbooks or computers, or practicing skills related to the classes.

Sims can check with their professors via phone or computer to get a sense of how they're doing in class, though final grades will only be released after the term has ended.

Lifestyles

edit

Lifestyles are an expression of a Sim's behaviors and habits over time. Each Lifestyle provids unique rewards and may influence the autonomy of a Sim living it. Some lifestyles are opposites of each other and cannot be gained at the same time. Others are solo Lifestyles and can be combined with any other pairing. Lifestyles also have a variety of statuses which include: Hidden, Locked, In Progress, Active, and At Risk.

The Lifestyles panel is housed within the Simology Panel. Active Lifestyles will be visible in this panel once they have been earned. Click on the "Lifestyles" button to open a menu detailing all of the Lifestyles. Hover over a Lifestyle to learn more about it.

A handful of Lifestyles begin with the "Hidden" status within each Sims 4 save file. These Lifestyles have not been discovered yet. They can be revealed through natural gameplay habits relating to that "Hidden" Lifestyle. Explore the game to discover them! Once revealed, Hidden Lifestyles will never return to their Hidden state, and are available to progress in for all Sims within that save game.

Once a Sim makes a certain amount of progress in a Lifestyle, that Lifestyle will unlock the "In Progress" status. This means that if a Sim continues to participate in behaviour representative of that Lifestyle, they will eventually unlock the Lifestyle, making it "Active". Doing the opposite behavior (when applicable) or neglecting a Lifestyle over time will cause a Lifestyle to return to its "Locked" status. A Sim can only work towards or against a Lifestyle so much in a given day.

When a Lifestyle is "Active" the Sim has fully earned it. This will automatically slot the "Active" Lifestyle into the Sim's Lifestyle panel, granting them the gameplay effects noted in the Lifestyle's description. A Sim may only have up to three "Active" Lifestyles at any given time. To replace a currently "Active" Lifestyle with another, a Sim would need to first lose one of the original "Active" Lifestyles.

"At Risk" Lifestyles are "Active" Lifestyles that are currently at risk of going away. This means a Sim has either been ignoring their lifestyle entirely or doing behavior contrary to their lifestyle. If unaddressed, this will cause a Lifestyle to return to its "Locked" status. As with "In Progress" Lifestyles, a Sim can only work towards or against a Lifestyle so much in a given day when it is "At Risk".

Active Lifestyles can be removed via the Phone or Computer by choosing the "Go to Lifestyle Coaching" interaction, or by visiting the Rewards Store and purchasing the "Lifestyle-Go-Poof" potion. Tip: There is a button within the Lifestyles pop-out menu that will directly take you to the Rewards Store.

The Lifestyles feature can also be turned off. However, doing so will remove all Lifestyle data from a game save. To do this, go into the "Game Options" Menu. Select the "Gameplay" section. On the far right of the menu is a "Lifestyles" toggle. Unmark the checkbox to remove Lifestyle gameplay from a save file. Lifestyles can be toggled back on at any time, but they will start fresh within the game save.

Snow Sports

edit

Sims can enjoy a variety of snow sports such as Snowboarding, Skiing or Sledding! Travel to Mt. Komorebi to find the slopes. Beginners can use the bunny slopes, while slopes are available for more advanced skiers or snowboarders.

Find the slopes near the top of the mountain, near the gondola. Click on the slopes to choose a sport activity. If no skis or boards are purchased, the Sim will be given a loaner equipment. Loaner equipment is not very comfortable, and Sims will soon find themselves with sore feet. New equipment can be purchased at home through Build Mode.

The bunny slopes are good for all ages. Children can use the sleds, or even bring a Toddler. Up to two Sims can sled together down these slopes.

As Sims continue to practice snowboarding and skiing, they can use the more advanced slopes. Increasing the sport's skill will enable cooler tricks and unlock advanced gear. However, using the more advanced slopes may lead to injuries. Recover sooner by relaxing at the Onsen Bathhouse.

Hiking

edit

A peaceful stroll through the trails of Mt. Komorebi is the perfect way to relax, socialize with friends, see the sights, and even exercise.

Look for a Hiking Info Board in a neighborhood near you. Here you can discover the local trails and set off to a destination.

When on a hike, your Sims will socialize together as they take in the sights. This is a great way to build your relationships.

There are many locations to discover and visit. Some locations have unique interactions to take advantage of. Make sure to explore once you've found your way to them.

Troublesome critters sometimes stalk the hiking trails. Make sure to check the local wildlife report on a nearby neighborhood info board. it might be prudent to purchase some pest detterents to pack on your hike.

Mountain Excursion

edit

So your Sims have got a couple of levels of Rock Climbing Skill under their belt and now you think you are ready to take on the climb of Mt. Komorebi. Well, prepare yourself for the challenges ahead.

To start a Mountain Climb Excursion your Sims will have to 'Plan a Social Event' from their phones. You will find the Mountain Climb Excursion selectable. Choose at leat 2 Sims to go on the excursion and then head to the Sutefani Onsen Bathhouse. Ride the gondola to the top where you will find the first rock wall to scale and the trail map marker leading to the next segment of the climb.

A mountain climb excursion will be tough. It is likely you will not make it all the way to the summit. Preparation is key to success.

High Rock Climbing Skill is essential. The talles rock walls cannot be scaled until your Sims reach the upper skill levels. Even then, there is a chance of falling to your death, so it is best you know what you are doing.

Rock Climbing Gear is essential to equip for those more challenging rock climbs. You can find out more in the Rock Climbing Lesson.

Food & Shelter is a good idea to bring along. You might not find a tent at all base camps, so it is a good idea to have one with you. Also, bring plenty food and drink. There are many tasty snacks in the vending machines around town that will work. Or better yet, make some energy bars yourself to take along.

Weather will also play a big factor in your success. Make sure to check mountain conditins on your local info board before starting your journey. Icy conditions could make the climb too hard to complete.

The excursion leader will be responsible for getting the rest of the team up the mountain. With the added responsibility comes with the ability to earn rewards plaques and the mountaineering trait. Just don't let down the team or your relationships can suffer.

To progress on the excursion you must complete goals displayed to you in the upper left. Your party may progress to the net section of the mountain after reaching a Silver score.

Climbing the mountain is a tough endeavor. Your Sims may not be able to make it to the top without resting. If you are lucky you may come across a tent setup or a cave to go rest in. For good measure you should pack your own tent and rest when needed. It is dangerous to scale rock walls while sleepy.

Your Sims may be lucky enough to find a cave on their climb. These caves may be blocked off by ice. If they are open, spending time to explore the cave could help you find some nice rewards.

Reaching the peak is its own reward. However, your Sims will get a number of positive moodlets as they remember the experience. While at the peak, make sure to look around for snow piles with valuable rewards to dig up.

Rock Climbing

edit

Time to raise your expectations of what an outdoor activity can be. Rock Climbing is a great way for your Sims to exercise, replenish fun, and eventually scale Mt. Komorebi on a mountain excursion.

You can pick up the rock climbing skill by purchasing skill books, researching handhold techniques on a computer, or by getting out into the world and trying to climb a wall. Sims starting out will be limited to the small training wall located near the base of the Bunny Slopes in the Yukimatsu neighborhood.

The small rock wall for beginners is in the Yukimatsu neighborhood at the base of the Bunny Slope.

Medium rock walls for more capable climbers are found in the bamboo forest in the Senbamachi neighborhood, and on the climb up Mt. Komorebi. Look for your first icy wall at the top of the gondola.

The tallest rock wall, only for the most skilled Sims, is located in the Croft Icewall on your way up Mt. Komorebi. Sims will encounter this on a Mountain Excursion.

Besides raising skill, there are multiple ways for a Sim to improve their success climbing a rock wall. The first is to pruchase climbing gear from the computer. Make sure to equip the gear from the Sim's inventory before starting the climb.

Your Sim can also use the chalk hands and do pre-climb stretch interactions before a climb. These will both provide buffs that get your Sim ready for the accent. It may mean the difference between reaching the top and falling to their death.

Death is a possibility when climbing on the tallest rock wall located in The Croft Icewall as you accent Mt. Komorebi. Be very careful on this wall. If your Sim is already battered and bruised from previous falls, they may want to rest a bit longer before trying this climb.

Shoe Removal Sign

edit

Take control of your household footwear. Place the new 'Taming of the Shoe' sign in your home to set rules about indoor aprooved footwear. Then just beware those mischievous Sims who choose to break rules. **Also works with Men's and Women's Shoe racks.**

You can set your household to have any of these rules.

  • Remove Shoes Indoors: Sims will take off shoes when entering a household.
  • Allow Shoes Indoors Sims will wear whatever footwear they choose.
  • Wear Slippers Indoors: Sims will swap into slippers while indoors.

By default, when you place the 'Taming of the Shoe' sign in a household it will automatically set the rule to 'Remove Shoes Indoors' unless another sign is already placed with a rule already set.

The Men's and Women's shoe racks will not automatically set the 'Remove Shoes Indoors' rule.

Emotionally Mindful

edit

When Sims find a sense of inner relaxation, they can become emotionally mindful. Because the Sim has found a sense of calm and peace, they have more control of their current mood.

Various interactions an help Sims become emotionally mindful. Sims can take a meditative hike, relax in the hot springs, read a book, fish or paint.

When a Sim has entered a state of being truly emotionally mindful, they can change their mood using the self-interaction Surge Emotions. Using this interaction, Sims can at will make themselves furious, ingenious, or passionate, among other emotions.
