Template:IMDb name/doc

This is a documentation subpage for Template:IMDb name.
It contains usage information, categories, and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template displays an external link to a web page about a person at IMDb, the Internet Movie Database.

Usage

The first parameter is the ID number. The template then uses the article title as the anchor text. To have the link text be other than the article name, use second parameter.

Unnamed parameters:

{{IMDb name | ID }}

{{IMDb name | ID | NAME }}

Named parameters:

{{IMDb name | id = ID }}

{{IMDb name | id = ID | name = NAME }}

Using Wikidata property P345:

{{IMDb name}}

{{IMDb name | name = NAME }}

One parameter

URL:

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000008/

Usage:

* {{IMDb name | 0000008 }}

* {{IMDb name | id = 0000008 }}

Output:

* IMDb name/doc on IMDb

Two parameters

URL:

https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000072/

Usage:

No ID in template or Wikidata
