The first quote, "no one can have a higher opinion of you than I have, and I think you're a slimy, contemptible sewer rat" is similar to, and presumably based on the quote "No one can have a higher opinion of him than I have--and I think he is a dirty little beast" which is attributed to W.S. Gilbert (of Gilbert and Sulliven fame). Should W.S. Gilbert be acknowledged as the author of the original quote upon which the Great Mouse Detective line is based?
