Talk:The Boondock Saints
Does anyone know what the end of the prayer means?
--In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.--
In the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
This is talking about God in his three forms. The Father being God, The Son, Jesus. and The Holy Ghost/Spirit, the form God had taken to help guide people in the right direction. (paraphrased from Wikipedia Holy Spirit section)
It's also spoken in Latin...if you wanted to know. The Catholic priests would use Latin during Mass wayyyyy back when.
"Way back when" being the 1960s, of course. Vatican II wasn't THAT long ago.
