Removal of quotes as (1) not independently well known and (2) not likely to stand the test of time.

edit

I am removing these quotes again, and for the same reasons. My removal was reverted, I later learned, because the reverter believed the quote met most, if not all, of the other five Wikiquote:Quotability factors and my removal was politically motivated. With regard to the first rationale I respond that 5 out of 7 factors is not enough. With regard to the second rationale I respond that the motivation of the editor - whether that of the editor who adds a quote or that of the editor who removes a quote - is not a quotability factor. And, now that I look at them again, they're not particularly witty, pithy, eloquent, or poignant either. Butwhatdoiknow (talk) 12:47, 4 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
