Quote about calling/consulting statisticians after an experiment is finished
editThe quote from the Presidential Address to the First Indian Statistical Congress, 1938. Sankhya 4, 14-17 is here given by
- To consult the statistician after an experiment is finished is often merely to ask him to conduct a post mortem examination. He can perhaps say what the experiment died of.
- To call in the statistician after the experiment is done may be no more than asking him to perform a post-mortem examination: he may be able to say what the experiment died of.
Can someone with access to the Address say with one is correct (possibly with a screenshot of the sentence - should be no copyright violations as it does not provide any more text than the quote ;). Thanks and greetings, --Qaswed (talk) 11:00, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
