Maxim
editThe maxim "Divide & Conquer" is firt said by Julius Caesar wasn't it? Should it be mentioned as the game mentions it, or as history mentions it? I.D. It stays maxim or it becomes quote of Caesar. 81.69.203.77 19:07, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Also, I just heard. The Vae Victis sentence was not really Livy's, but Brennus'. Do we also mention game errors? 81.69.203.77 11:40, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Wow...really active place here. But even shouldn't we ascribe the quote to Brennus instead of Livy even if he did write it himself? 81.68.255.36 08:46, 15 April 2010 (UTC) I would say show as the game quotes it...but with a note as to the believed origin.
Also, to the guy who removed all of these once: A lot of people remember only part of the quote and that it was in this Game...this page helps them find the quote when it is often almost impossible otherwise. That is a useful service...and part of why this page was so active. It brings traffic to the site, and it gets people interested in some of these historical figures, philosophers and writers.
